Remember the good old days when the chat list was on the main page?
You could see who was in chat.
I remember there being 50+ people in chat a night!
great friends and a lot of good talk and info was shared.
Can we go back to that please!!
In the last 5 years (ish) chat has for the most...
Do a search the part number has been listed 1000 times. A rebuild kit will set you back around 20 bucks. Bearings only are about 7 bucks a set.
27si is the case model number but most gm alternators all have the same guts and bearings.
Is it really glowing red hot? Or just hot? Mine will smoke a tad if it is covered in dust or water ect... I would just bypass that junk and have the relay fed 12v off the junction on the fire wall. Change out the relay and flow plugs if you have not done so in a few years and I bet she will work...
20 extra seconds ? Melt down!! my 08 started at 5* by just letting the card cycle. Your method seams like it may cause some over heating, wire melting issues.
I would just use the 6.5 as a N/A engine and slap it in.
Have said that it would be a good time to freshen up that 6.5 with all new gaskets and some head and main studs.
A fluid dampener is the cats rear from what I hear.
I will be getting one for my M1008 in a few paychecks.
