    Help - stuck sides on a m105

Try the prybar and wood again. Start at one end and pry a little bit right next to the stake pocket. then move to the next pocket and so on up and down the side at each stake pocket. You can not lift to high on one end at a time or it will put the far end in a bind.

    importing a deuce to canada!

Even though you may not have to fill out an EUC does not mean that the vehicle itself is not restricted. Non of the vehicles on GSA require an EUC but they are still a controled asset. Just because the Canadian Gov will let you bring a truck into your country does not mean that the entity that...

    Tires for 5 ton

Ive seen trucks with the 16's and you can barely slip your hand between the rears. (on an 809, dont know about a 900). I would think with an increase of 1" those tires will be rubbing.

    Driveshaft Removal in the Field

PM me the sale# and lot # and I can tell you if you were required to fill out an EUC. (CUCV's have been hit and miss on the EUC requirement in the past couple of years.) *edit* nevermind, just ran across your other thread and looked at the GL page. NO EUC on those trucks.

    Oops, water down intake?

It all depends on how much you think a "little bit" is? A "little bit" can hydro lock and bend a rod real easy.

    M818 sucking air

Thanks, guess I'll ad this to the list of "things to do" before it gets listed.

    M818 sucking air

When the system is primed, the pump handle is very hard to operate. I can see the fitting when the hood is up and I'm pumping it and watch it drip. (when I'm pushing the handle in I can see it push the fuel out pretty good, almost a steady stream) when the system has lost prime the handle pumps...

    M818 sucking air

While working to get the M818 up and running after sitting over last winter and summer I've come across a leaky fitting. While operating the primer pump I noticed this fitting dripping fuel. Could this fitting be sucking air into the system? Its not before the IP so I dont think so but Im not...

Before the "Bully" (JK Joe,) closes this, try Glen ( 91W350 ) He is in Salina KS and last time I was at his yard he had a 5ton bed full of HMMWV wheels with tires. (off of a bunch of 116a3 trailers he scrapped. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/members/91w350.html

Singled out fat spare to fat to fit nest

If you were closer I would make you a good deal on the whole 14.00 davit crane and spare tire assembly. But that stuff is HEAVY and would cost an arm and a leg to ship. (I'll get some pics tomorrow to show the differences in the 2. I think the 14 set up is 3 inches wider) Edit* Yep, the...

    Well, It's gone.

Thats where I started. Got the truck, found the "Zone" started researching, and BAM, I found SS, then 5ton and a shelter, several trailers, a deuce, and about 6 million OD green trinkets that now fill the shelter. Try M715zone.com Its like SS only its M715 specific and those guys will be...

Singled out fat spare to fat to fit nest

Did your truck have 11.00's and now you have 14's? As stated above the later trucks with 14's have a wider spare tire rack. Because of the wider tires I bet the bed on the trucks with 14's is slid back some. Also You might check to see how wide your spare tire rack is. There should be 2 pieces...

    Well, It's gone.

They are cool trucks for sure. If I had a shop to work in over the winter I would not have sold it.
  17. KsM715

    Well, It's gone.

The M818 has sat since last fall. With some fresh batts, I pumped the primer handle quite a bit and a little shot of starter fluid (shot from the drivers seat no less) and she came to life. I suspect it has some air leak issues do to me removing one tank and removing the spider valve but...

    Fuse Keeps Breaking

Voltage usually doesnt blow fuses. Its the amps. There is something wrong in that circuit causing it to blow. A fuse is a protection device. You need to find out what is shorting out or causing a high amp draw in that circuit.

    Well, It's gone.

Nope, He is a somewhat local guy, about an hour south of me. Contacted me in early summer and asked if he could put a deposit on it till late summer, I honestly thought it would be sold before then so I said no deal. Well contacted him to see if he was still interested. Turns out he was. The guy...

    Well, It's gone.

I sold the M715 today. Thats the truck that started the OD addiction for me. I wanted it because it was a "JEEP Thing" and little did I know what it was going to do to me. I got so deep into aquiring OD green stuff that I never got a chance to work on it like I should have. Now that its gone I'm...
