In most states it is illegal to project any light forward other than white (headlights) or amber (orange turn signals) on non- emergency vehicles. Some volunteer fire fighters can get special permits to install em. light bars on their personel vehicles.
Do you really need a 105? I'm in the process of putting my 250 shelter onto a M116a3. Hope to have it up on the trailer this weekend, then all I have to do is secure it. Then the combo is going up for sale.
As for whats in the pic, it looks like some Unit Built (or homebrew) fabricaion.
Anyone ever try to put a 105 bed back on a 105 frame by yourself. I put my 105 dump trailer back together this weekend so I can sell it and get it out of the yard.
All 3 of the ones I have will not unscrew all the way. But I can imagine that if its just a simple peened "stop" at the end, some soldier or someone else got to that stop then put a pry bar in the foot and turned it past the stop thinking it had more in it, and now that "stop" no longer works.
For you guys still looking, the 105 leg (whole assembly, both inner and outer) is longer. I pulled a 105 leg off of the trailer I cut up for the bobber and went to put it on my 101 and it was to long. I cut it down and used it but the hook that holds the leg up in the stored position sits to low...
My trailer has a 96" long bed
Its 73.5" wide not including the 5" flare at the fender.
The fender starts 36" from the front of the bed and is 36" long along the bed leaving 24"s from the trailing edge of the fender to the back edge of the bed
Theres plentyof room to remove 3-4" of inner...
That 1/4"difference, is it a 1/4" closer at the front of the tire, (toe in) or a 1/4" farther out?(toe out) If its toe out it will make it squirrely like that. I would check that first before you start messing with that shim.
Its a M715. The hard top was installed by the fire dept. None of these trucks had hardtops.
Im offwork friday and I'll get some pics and measurements for you
