    M1078A0/ Parking Brake Release

So I wasn't so quick to get back with you how that all turned out. I apologize. It turned out to be the Relay Valve. When I removed it from its perch it was quite plugged. They you weigh it out and say I could try cleaning it but the cost isn't that terrible versus the inconvenience of location...

    M1078A0/ Parking Brake Release

That's brilliant way to check that, thank you. As far as the Relay Valve/ Anti-Compound Valve is there a kit that you can pull the whole valve out and rebuild it or is it a valve that if one side fails you replace the whole valve? The truck is 40 miles from me and I would like to minimize my...

    M1078A0/ Parking Brake Release

That's a great explanation, thank you. So when the Parking Brake Control Valve is pulled up to release pressure, if you hear the front quick release air exhaust and the lights on the dash come back on telling that the brakes are applied then if your parking brakes are slow to release it must be...

    M1078A0/ Parking Brake Release

After reading my air line schematics available on Steel Soldiers and after going to YouTube to view RonMars Air Component Video (which by the way is excellent even after the 4th time) I am turn for help for confirmation. My parking brakes are taking 20 seconds to fully release. I suspect it is...

Gauges and Sending Units Caterpillar/ M1078

Without looking at a wiring schematic does that mean if the alternator excites that the sensor is good or is there 2 parts to the sender. A ground and a potentiometer for the gauge? Is that sensor also located in the middle of the engine block on the left side?

Gauges and Sending Units Caterpillar/ M1078

Sticker Shock once again brings me to the Steel Soldiers Advisory Committee/ I haven't researched it and this is my first place to come so maybe my powers of observation can be scrutinized/ Dealing with my Oil Pressure the first place I dealt with was the gauge and is it working/ After removing...

    M1078 Battery Conversion

I did not have any problems with the cover fitting on the box/ I sometimes had to take a little out of the lower portion of the box in order for the cables to sit in what I considered correctly.

    M1078 - M1083 Cab Air Suspension Bags/

What donut are you referring to? If you are speaking of the alternate air ride system I have the name and I believe it was listed on eBay. And the shock is the limiter for how far the travel.

    M1078 - M1083 Cab Air Suspension Bags/

I thought I'd record the repair of the air bags so I posted on YouTube with this link Please critique but I know the filming is bad and I know my repair is primitive. It get's the truck back in service service and I can make correct bushings now that I have the measurements. The intent for the...

    M813 Starter Information Needed

I'll have to dig out my information on the fellow that was selling these but... I do have an extra one that I bought just in case the others failed but that didn't happen. It works great. This one might be for sale if you are interested? Lugnuts

    M1078 - M1083 Cab Air Suspension Bags/

Yes, that be it. That is what I know I can do but the ones that come stock have a shape for the cylinder aspect of it too. Not only does the bushing absorb shock but controls side play. Thank you for the response.

    M1078 - M1083 Cab Air Suspension Bags/

So here I am into January and now starting on the Air Bag replacement. Not complicated, just procedural. But of course one runs into a snag and therefore here I am. Once you remove the air bag assembly you can disassemble to replace the bag. The snag is that coming out of the air bag is a shaft...

    M1078 - M1083 Cab Air Suspension Bags/

You know if I were going to spend time driving any distance I probably would use the new style that you show in the YouTube video. It seems more practical and that the mechanical shock would work in there well. Price on it seems reasonable. Being able to work on it seems quite accessible. Let us...

    M1078 - M1083 Cab Air Suspension Bags/

    M1078 - M1083 Cab Air Suspension Bags/

I figured I would run it through Fleetpride and get a better feel for it that way. Thanks. At least I got some numbers to work from without taking the unit out of service to disassemble.
