Thats a good one... very sound advise. My truck will go without any throttle in 2nd unless its on an incline...so Im still gonna start in 2nd. If it shears the key, oh well, Ive already pulled the tranny and rebuilt it once-piece of cake.
Your saying that when you start it, it slowly increases to 2600...not revving up that high immediately? Thats strange. Im no pro mechanic but that sounds like maybe something is loose maybe. I dont know though. Maybe you can download the TM for the FDC and HH and read through and look inside...
You sir, have balls of steel lol...My '00 Pete was goverened at 85 and I only hit that once and I didnt much care for it... 'course I was pulling a wiggle wagon so....Fastest in a semi ever for me was 95mph under its own power, bobtail. I never was much of one to be trimming my toenails on the...
LOL...ahh that gave me a good laugh. In Iraq, Obviously we didnt have C-Rats..we had MRE's. The MREs also had good stuff in them, but it was different for every menu number. If you opened them to get the good stuff and left everything else, you would say you were "rat-f***ing" it. More often...
I started parking mine out of line of sight from the house (but still under the watchfull eyes of the camera) just so i wouldnt walk past a window and stare LOL. Now if I could just get all my guns out of sight, Id stop staring at them too
Mine didnt have that relay connected when I got it, and it looked like it hadnt been connected in MANY years...no problem so far with it so...Im not worried about it :driver:
While I agree with you 3d...My 2 cents is that since he has the Arabic chicken scratch above it, I would think that he is clearly stating to muslims that he is an infidel...which I actually find quite humorous
I made license plate holders for mine....I need to take some pix so...pics forthcoming. [thumbzup]
I welded a couple of pieces of strap and angle iron and bolted to the rear left of the bed so it hangs down next to the tail light. the front I just put a piece of angle iron on the grille and...
That is good info Draco... Its been so long since I thought about the acronym names of all these crazy devices they came up with that I have forgotten most of them. SPARKS rings a bell lol....and by the way, if you ever happen to take a journey up the mountain in your MV, let me know, we can go...
Once again my locale inhibits me from participating or enjoying ANYTHING....so I guess ill just wait for the AAR, read it while . One of these days Ill manage to drag my carcass on outa this state and reside somewhere much closer to all the fun.
Alot of the "rusty" looking metal in Iraq actually wasnt rusty. some of it was but mosty the steel that was used for these first gen up armored was Hardox400 and had a brownish red coating on it...and the reason no one painted them....availability of paint mostly. Im sure they could have gotten...
The GTs in Iraq usually had a VIC system...but I dont know if its the same as the ones they had in VN. Ours (M1114) had a master control box, and one for each passenger and then on just under the left side rear of the turret for the gunner. All the boxes were connected to the SINCGARs radios...
Now that I see the wheels in pic #2...I remember them clearly lol.Didnt they try this system on a HMMWV for a while? And I see that one has a Rhino system as well...that one always made me laugh. And as for that bumper...I could have used that on my M915 when I would play what I called " NFL...
You are correct Sir. The thing on the front IS a mine roller...designed to blow IEDs up under it instead of the truck. The thing on the back however, I am not exactly sure what that is. It very well might be some sort of hydro control pump/tank to lift the roller up and down, but who knows. When...
You oughta seen some of the nastiness that has spewed forth from some of my assigned military vehicles. Ive seen all sorts of gross, weird, and disgusting things drip, ooze or shoot out of the wet tank (number 3 of 4 on a 9 series ;) )...And 99% of the time i got a standard "oh thats normal"...
I hauled one on a flatbed equipment trailer. We rolled it on from the rear with 2 inch pipe, like it rolls forward, take the pipe from the end and place it on the front. Then lifted it up and set it on 2x4's and chained it from top front left to bottom rear left, and vise versa, with ratcheting...
Since the hitch has been covered, I wont say that that hitch is absolutely, 100% WRONG and DANGEROUS. Hopefully no one gets killed when it breaks free..not if...WHEN.
