I was one of the lucky ones...all my door hinges came off on the first try...I took them off when I was painting my truck when I first got it. Most of the stuff I do I seem to be fairly lucky with on this particular Deuce. The hood latches were a pain, but I used liquid wrench and they gave up...
....Using ether will make your truck an addict...or an ether baby lol...In Alaska, my truck would not start without a shot of ether...even in the summer. I would never use ether to get my truck to fire. bad bad bad bad....
...You forget..this thing is IN California...you would be suprised what people in Cali hit when driving. Best one I saw was a police cruiser in the middle of the road parked with ALL lights flashing and the driver was outside in a green reflector vest waving a light stick type flashlight, and...
Hey at least it wasnt inside the cab of your truck...Guy in my unit in Alaska threw a drip pan behind the seat and it landed on the fire extinguisher....purple K all up in the cab of his M1074.
oohhh...I can answer this question. The M109 will tilt only as far as it takes to tip it over. Then you'll know youve gone too far lol...But seriously though, just use common sense. If it feels like its listing too far, dont go that way. It may have an angle that it will generally go over at...
Im not sure about the window, but Im fairly certain one of the main things that make it an RV is a stove. So dont forget that colemans propane camping stove screwed to the counter [thumbzup]
I hate california lol...I have a class A CDL so Ive never researched this topic...I registered mine historic to save money...if i had the $$ id register as regular vehicle for like 800 bucks a year.
Bahhhh just get in, and fire it up....it'll run. Mine did after 6 years. all it needed was new batteries
( look up fecetious in the dictionary ;) )
This is always a great topic to cover with drivers and personnel who are around them often as ground guides, spotters etc. When I was in the Army, I was an AMVI instructor driver and was responsible for instructing new drivers on how to operate M915a3's with 30 and 40 foot trailers in Germany...
230 is WAY hot. I believe the average for the multi-fuel 465 is between 160-180 deg...mine rarely gets over 160 as thats when the thermostat opens and these engines have a very efficient cooling system. For you I would advise testing the sending unit first as it may be malfunctioning. New ones...
Well today I adjusted the valve lash...I set the intakes to .015 and exhaust to .025 and it seemed to run a smidge smoother. There were a couple that were way loose and one that was too tight. It was a little bit more of an undertaking then I anticipated but then, everything I do on the truck is...
Little bit of silicone lube spray in the bead, and a Mattox from the pioneer rack...hard work but it never fails and you dont have to buy anything. And it even works with the bead lockers on supersingle tires...Its how I was taught in the army to do it. But practice on a junk tire 'cuz you can...
LOL...I totally just got a mental image of Elvis in OD greens sitting at a desk sharpening a pencil in a stuffed cat's....well you get the idea LMAO
I saw this head line and just had to read it...I was thinking, "what ever on earth were you doing smelling your E-brake?" lol...
Oh and be careful how you reply when asked about using tech manuals..I have a feeling your about to get an earfull on that subject. Might as well just go and by you...
