RE: Me - Fri-Sunday is best
Thats good to hear Doc. The staff and other wheelers really enjoyed seeing us. Hey Doc, who's Deuce was that on the Comp Course? I remember seeing a pic of it? Maybe it was Angus' Deuce. It should be posted here.
As far as what day to officially arrive, it...
Sounds good John, I look forward to seeing one of your CUCVs.
Actually Scooter, You wouldn't be going out of your way at all. If there are any NE'rs attending you would meet us just outside NYC and then we take I-78 all the way out. Its only about 20 minutes North on I-81 after that. Review...
RE: Re: RE: M819 Setting Rings (Pics)
Uh oh....I wouldn't say that if I were you :P
"Yeah cuz' ya know.....those GM cylinder heads with rocker arm studs are so much stronger than shafts. Who uses shafts anyway?" :)
I would have to agree. It seems MVs and MoPars go together quite well.
Its all stock with the leaning tower of power under the hood. Nothing exciting. I have no pics of the entire car. I'll have to dig out some old ones to scan.
Hi,
We've been so busy with the crane all year that we can't put it down yet for its big refurb/repower. Every week there's either personal project or a job to be done that requires its' presence.
Here are some pics of it helping set baby 4'x4' drywell rings. In this scenario the...
At the top of the page under Resources click on Technical Manuals. Look for an assembly manual for the Deuce. You should be able to find what your looking for.
So.....
Who's bringin' what? :D
I will supply  as well as firewood. It would be very helpful if everyone with a Deuce/5ton cargo reserved some space in their beds for firewood. We would have more than enough for cooking etc. for the entire weekend.
We still need someone to...
Hi,
M37Dodge: Welcome to the Site! and thank you for your interest. During my first visit last year I observed a warm friendly atmosphere among all those who visited the park. As people went wheeling for the day they left all of their trailers open with tools everywhere. I was surprised to...
A trip on the original Route 66 in CA,AZ,NM (Oatman, Kingman etc.) might be fun if you haven't done that yet.
Other things to see:
Bryce & Zion Nat. Pks. Grand Canyon A ride through Monument Valley is nice
Hit some ghost towns.
A reeeeaallly cool ride is on Rt89 from Prescott to...
You could haul a Sh-load of bannanas in a Deuce. 8)
CTIS is'nt reliable and the parts are expensive.
Buying from GL directly could be difficult as your primary residence is outside the U.S.
There are plenty of dealers that export Deuces & 5tons regularly (Clark, Memphis) but at a price $$$...
Hi,
Over the Independence Day weekend we went out east again to the annual LIAPA/ATHS show. Its always a fun event with a variety of things on display. I finally got a panoramic pic of the wrecker towing the Oshkosh and thought I'd share a few pics . Enjoy! (Sorry for the low light in some...
Sounds like a pretty rare bird. Autocars are pretty dam cool. I would hesitate to chop it up. It appears that you have all the ingredients for a cool plow truck/dump truck. (except for the broken axle) If its a planetary rear then it would be an AP series off-highway deal. I doubt they...
I don't think it would exert any significant tongue weight. Towing an unloaded or loaded dolly converter is like towing a log splitter or a cement mixer. I can't imagine any more than 50lbs. if that.
You should be fine.
