Yes, I agree with you. I have been cranking for while and it hasn't changed in any kind of way, so I can comfortably assume that the injection pump is bad. Can you PM me and let me know how much your IP will cost?
So when i bypass the IP furl shut off solenoid straight to battery i get a nice distinct click. A little less on the connector.
But still a nice click. 11.xV on the connector. I cranked 4 times so far for about 7 secs each with full throttle with solenoid bypassed. No drip on the open injector...
I think i checked for voltage at the connector before. Will check again today. Also ill listen for it to engage with voltage applied. I dont have a injection pump. I cracked one of the injector lines open and get no fluid or wetness coming out. I get fuel coming from the return hose on top...
How much does the engine turn before the fuel pump push rod moves? Mine is against the plate and with a whole revolution (stopping at various points) with a bar and a 24mm socket on tbe crank, i did not find the spot where the pin is supposed to be able to slide up into the block
At this moment I won't use any Ether.
I posted this thread to get some feedback on wether I should go the route of buying new parts. Or realizing the fact that there may be too much damage to this engine already.
Maybe I don't have enough experience to make this decision in a proper manner or I...
The guy i bought the truck from stated that she will start with ether, so i dont know how many times he has done that.
Did you notice the part where i mentioned a lot of blow by even while cranking.
I dont get a deep skip while starting, but that doesnt mean that there is no compression on all...
I just picked up a m1028 and the seller told me that there are no batteries and the engine doesnt run but would run with some ether.
got the truck home and with batteries she turms over. No start. Glowplug card is bad. Glow plugs are bad glow plug relay possibly bad. Tried to start with wd40...
I have replaced the bad glow plugs on the M1009 two months ago. and today I checked one for giggles and laughs. the first one was OL the second had 3 ohm resistance. The resistor pack is supposed to cut 24V down to 12v, correct?
So if the resistor pack is bad it will give the G60 glow plugs 24v...

i put the 7/16 grade 8 bolt in the shackle in the driver side. Torque to 50 ftlbs and it got really easy on me. First i thought thr poly bushing wasnt seated right. But it turned out the nut stripped. Had a good time cutting them off. Put the old bolts...

I jacked the truck up with the bottle jack and had a lift jack under the axle. Took the tire off and backed off the 4 axle shackle bolts. They were lose already. I left a few threads on to make sure it's not flying off when I lower the axle.
