These are the plugs covering the adjusting screws? Everything I read says the adj screw is on the end of the alt. The problem is I have 2 plugs!!
Which one is it? The one near the connections cover or the one on the end of the alt?

My '72 A2 had nuts and washers but I've heard early models used alot of the caged nuts under there. Either way you will want to grab 'em to keep from destroying the cages trying to get those rusty bolts out. Pull the gauge panel to get to them easier.

Standard Chevy repair panels will work. 2 options, do it yourself or find a GOOD body shop and tell them you want to see the repair before any body filler, primer or paint goes on and get it in writing. That will scare the bondo bandits but a good shop will say no problem.

I had to give up trying to get an M170 that sits near a cow field rotting away. I get the "We might fix it up one day" line and "dad used to drive us around in it years ago so we're not getting rid of it for sentimental...
I'm running the same tires and they are great! They really dig on the trails and no issues in the pouring rain. They do flat spot from sitting overnite by hey they're bias, killer price for killer tires tho.
