WOW! That's quite the collection of vehicles! I watched it 4 times.
Yea, that's tough to beat. I guess the Ga rally convoy needs to step up its game to top that!
Yea, mine kind'a does that. I get a lil blue smoke at startup and acceleration till it warms up, stops within a min or two. Probably a little leak down past the valve stem seals while sitting. My engine probably only has less than a 1,000 miles on it.
Any and all items I list for sale or trade is for SSGa rally attendees otherwise I'd post them in the classifieds or on Peebay
for alot more $$.
Thanks,
Whiterabbit
I'm lucky and have room to pack kinda' heavy in the Rover but I usually don't bring shorts to the "woods" but last year I tossed some in the bag. Good thing too, because it got warm during the days!
I always bring first aid stuff and a good fire extinguisher for the camp site as well as in the...
Recovry,
Yea, hit me up at rally or sweet talk the wife into giving the A2 a spin. Bumper no. 5MT-43 [thumbzup]
I saw plenty of M151's under 2' tall.... after I ran over them with the M88 in the late 80's!

He makes the best panels for the M151. Get hold of him, he is building alot of panels for the 1/4tn.
Yep, the trans oil fill plug looks like the big drain plugs on the bottom of the trans/xfer. Don't mess with the bolt higher up on the side of the trans above the fill plug. It'll drop parts inside the trans.
The wife and I love our A2 and she's going to make a 4 hr drive to the Ga. SS rally...
Ya'll can just give it to me, I'll take good care of it!
I need another. They're like potato chips, can't have just one.
I have a tow bar for my M151A2 that has a 2" ball hitch for regular trucks. Ya'll can borrow it if needed. Good for short rescue towing but the M151 doesn't liked...
I find that gear oil at Tractor Supply, I think it's Travelers brand and is for Ford tractors. GL-5 rated oil has some additives that are harmful to brass/bronze syncros and bushings so get any oil rated lower than GL-5. I've found Warren brand in the lower GL ratings too. I just buy alot of it...
Folks run these things through high water and forget those vents will let water into the diffs and transmission. Your right, always do a total fluid change on new to you trucks. I drained some funky stuff out of mine! The trans needs 90wt but make sure it's not GL-5! You need GL-4 or GL-3 so it...
The rear end does make some noise and the metal rear floor amplifies it since it's bolted to it. Unless it sounds like a pencil sharpener eating metal I'd say it good. LOL!
If in doubt, pull the drain plug. You are going to need to flush all the fluids anyway. A little silver in the oil is ok...
"Funny thing is my wife didn't even flinch when I told her about it.
I wonder if she intends to commandeer it."
That's what happened to mine!
But that gives me the excuse to get another A2.
They do oversteer a good bit but unless you're doing a Dukes of Hazard driving...
Need the vertical rods for the side curtains for my M151a2 and possibly the vinyl passenger side door skin and drivers side rear curtain. Anyone????
Thanks,
I'd buy it!
Very nice panels are being made by Guy but from the pics you really don't need any! A lil' rust hole in the drivers floorboard needs a patch. Looks like the cut was at the forward foot well, down past the trans and across. Very odd cut and probably saved it from being an inch short...
Thanks guys!
That plug in the back end just had me wondering 'cause it was marked CW reduces output. I didn't know if they moved the adj screw to the back end or if it was still up top near the connector cover.
Figures it the top one, that plug is seized TIGHT!
Thanks again,
Whiterabbit
I'm reading just a hair low. 25v at idle (needle just to the left of the line on the gauge) so I need to bump it up a bit.
The end cap regulator assm also has a plug marked "CW reduces output".
