Speddmon,
I would take one of your spin on oil filter kits for my MEP-002A if you could bring one to Findlay. I am about due for an oil change anyway :-) Thank you.
Yea, it was fun building the fire. I wanted to spray used oil in there to get it going. You know its a good time when the heaters are blowing flames out the stack and making rumbling noises inside! That is my style!
I still would like to see how an immersion heater would compare. Just for fun :-D
The mounds was ok, but bundy hill was better. Its still not as big of an off road park as I would like, but it was still good! its always nice having a winch truck when you go offroading... you never know! :-D
I searched and did not see it covered... Has any been able to run one of these heaters on WMO or a blend of WMO and diesel? I am interested in one of these units and think it would be fun to play around with.
Does it run better? Were any valves tight? A wise old man once told me valves are like kids, when you cant hear them, you know they are in trouble. rofl
I like adjusting valves because it is a low cost PM you can do on the truck to make it run better. I am glad everything worked out.
If my alternator ever dies someday, I am going to save my money and put a civilian alternator on it like 74M35A2 said. That guy really knows his stuff about alternators. My alternator has been fine for 5 years and 30,000+ miles, but it wont last forever. I wish I had a scrap deuce engine to...
That's right. And the rims were the same as the M34 and M135, correct? They only had the two different rims (excluding the M35A3 rims) for this bolt pattern, correct? The reason I am asking is I located some of these rims that are on the front of an M211 at a junk yard and are not the same...
Is there any advantage to putting these rims only on the front axle of an M35? The thing I am thinking about is that the M135 Wheels will give the front end a little wider stance than the original M35 wheels. Another thought is how will this offset handle down the road? I want to make sure my...
My dad and I have changed lots of deuce tires over the years on both of our trucks. Remove the valve core is step number one. A big slide hammer is good to break the bead down. The tires that have been on the rims for 50 years are the ones that can be trouble, so they require more work to break...
Yup, I guess I lost the bet. That's ok. It still blows my mind because everybody says not to pull power off one battery (which makes sense) yet the military did it for low speed on the heater blower motor. Weird.
Did I lose the bet? Is the jury still out? I haven't researched it at all, no time lately. Either way, yes Eric, I will feed you at findlay. I can make some mean Mac and Cheese on my H45 heater using a blend of WMO and Diesel for fuel. It goes down good without a hint of 10W-30. :D
