I need a 7' 6" pickup truck mounted snowblower moved from Vanderbilt Mi, which is just nort of Gaylord, to Holland/Zeeland Mi.
It's about the same size as a standard truck snow plow, but with an auger inplace of the blade. They can load it on your trailer with a loader tractor they have...
I used an actual, original 1970 Michigan licence plate for my Deuce. It's plated "authentic" which cost a one time fee of $30, and is good forever (non exspiring) for as long as you own the vehicle.
I have six vehicles and two motorcycles plated this way, and never once had a problem running...
OK, maybe a dumb question.....can you have both on the same engine? The ports on the manifold are there for both systems.
That way you still have the manifold heater, as a back up, if the ether bottle is empty.
Because the ether system only works when you have a full bottle, and how do you...
Thanks for the compliments.
As for the BIG, NASTY, INTIMIDATING ROTTWEILER:roll::lol:
It's the wife's little Toy Poodle. (It's like her baby) He lets us know when someone pulls onto our property. So, he does makes a good door bell, but not that great as a guard dog. He does keep the barn...
Which is a better system, manifold heater or ether start, and why? Advantages, pros vs. cons.
When did they start putting ether start on the Multi-fuel?
The reason I ask is because I've only had trucks with a manifold heater. But my new parts truck is equiped with a complete ether start...
Had the Deuce out for a Sunday drive. On my way home, there's a trucking company that has a scale in the parking lot, so I drove over it, and it seems to have gained some weight.
When I first bobbed the truck, it was right at 10,500#, with me in it, and a half tank of fuel. Now with the lift...
On my Deuce,
1) There's a bracket that's under the fold-down seat, bolted to the transmission tunnel. The top of it hinges up and open, and when closed, has a hole for a small lock.
2) Another bracket, is bolted to the inside of the firewall, under tha dash, on the passanger side.
3) On...
Dang, the other switch didn't work for you huh... I hate when that happens.
You can check the switches to see if they are good, with a ohm meter, to see if the contacts are opening and closing when operating the switch. It will give you some place to start your trouble shooting, to atleast see...
:ditto:
I received many parts from Mike also. Everything was just like he said it would be when my parts arrived. He's an easy guy to talk to, and BS with. And when it's time to make deals, all his prices were more than fair on parts. As a seller, he went above and beyond, to make sure I...
My Deuce is 40 years old, and not getting any younger. So it's nice to have extra parts on hand, when the need arises. I have the building space here, so I'll throw it in one of them for now.
I'm up for selling stuff off it though, to get some of my money back, if that's what your getting at...
The GVWR for just the truck, fully loaded is 33,700#
I don't know the tow capacity, but it should be fairly high.
It runs the RS2300 Rockwell axle, for the rear drive. It's the same rear axle in the big Peterbilts and Kenworth trucks.
I would like to get money, everytime I veiw the SteelSoldiers website. It would realy help me out with my MV funds. Is this possible?
Other than that, and the picture thing previously posted, everything on the site is working great for me.
I bought a Deuce parts truck this week. Myself and Jeff (gunnerbear) fired up the old F-700, and went on a 150 mile road trip, to recover the axle-less Deuce. It went pretty uneventfull for a recovery, which is a good thing. The Dually pulled it no problem, almost like the truck was made to...
My Deuce W/W and a M105 box weighed 10,500 across the scales with 9.00 duals in the back. If you can find out how much a 9.00 NDT with wheel weighs, subtract two of them and you'll be good to go.
The same truck with the lift kit and 53" tires installed now, is just over 12,000#
