Where are you located at?
I have a nice Deuce cargo box complete with troop seats/side racks and bows laying in my yard if your looking for one ;-) I also have the canvas cargo cover I got with it, but I never had it on, so I don't know the condition if it. I doubt I'll ever do anything with it.
Here's some pictures of the finished widened rear fenders. I'm happy with the way they turned out and look, plus it gives the duals a little more coverage so they no longer stick way out.
I primed and then just spray-bombed them to some what match the box for now, some time in the...
"jcappeljr" I sent ya a PM.
Anyone else with a suspension seat to make this a pair?
If any one needs any rear axle torque-rods (dog bones) for a Deuce, let me know. I have six in real good condition that I can send down with Pierre. If there is a need for them, let me know by tonight so I...
"NEEDED / WANTED"
I'm looking for a pair of complete, Deuce suspension seats.
My neighbor Pierre Jalving is going down to Aberdeen to sell a huge load of parts/tires, and said if I could get a pair of suspension seats there, then he would bring them back for me.
So does any one have a...
I'm going to keep running the dual tires in the back of the Deuce. But I think it kind of looks funky with the M-105 box because of the width that the tires stick out past the fenders because the trailer box is narrower than the stock cargo box. To help compensate for this I'm making some...
I just did mine. I cut the rivet heads off with a torch and then I used a grinder to make sure there wasn't any part of the head left over. Drove them out with a hammer (the largest BFH you can use works best) I didn't drill a single rivet.
To remove the side plate that holds the tandem...
Sorry, I lost track of time and forgot to update this thread as I built it:oops: (I actually drove it today:-D)
I used the springs from the trailer for the conversion. So I got from others here, that it takes a 3 to 4" block under the trailer springs to make the truck sit level. So I made a 1...
Here's some more. The beat up old Ford comes in handy at times. I made a spreader-bar to lift the trailer box evenly when I lifted with the wrecker. I'm using the trailer frame as well as the box. The welded on U-bolts that stick off the bottom, at all four corners of a M105 trailer frame...
Well I started to take the Deuce apart for the bobber. I'm not going to use the 12' cargo box, but instead I'll use a M-105 box. I like the way that both, a cut down cargo box and a M-105 looks, but I prefer the wheel well look on a shorty Duece.
To remove the box I unbolted the bolts that...
Dang........them things are BIG! Good score.
Is it possible to park a Deuce between them, for size comparison, so we can get the full effect (for us little deuce owners)
I'm with ya on the bleeding, I just didn't want to pull the axels and just leave the lines dripping and empty the system more than needed. I want to keep air entering the system to a minimum also dirt/grime. Plus with the cost of DOT5
I know the steel break lines on a Deuce is 5/16" but what is the size and threads of the flexable rubber lines off the "Y" block between the rear axels?
I have to remove the rear tandems tomorrow and want to disconect the lines at the "Y" block, and use a plug temporarily in their place so I...
I will always run a cargo cover on the box when I get the truck done, so I don't think a window will add much benefit. If I do install a window, it'll just be a fixed window, I have no need for it to open.
