The bottom line: nobody makes hubs for a 5 ton??

In my entire life, I had only seen one set of lock-outs for a five ton. So I know they do exist, though be it rare. So good luck finding a set......and if you do I'll bet they fetch huge $$$$

lets see your m35 in the snow pics! bobbed or stock lets see em

There was some snow on the ground, the day that I bought and drove home the Deuce. Other than that snow, it has been stored in a barn since I owned it.

It looks mean and Pi$$ed-off.

    HEMTT Wheels

An 11.00x20 on a 10" wide wheel will be fine. I've ran numerous sets of tires with extremely wide wheels for many years and never had a single problem because the tire was on a wider than stock wheel. You have the tires and the wheels, run them.

Frodo 2 M796 Bolster Recovery, Done

Frodo, nice score. I'd be careful opening them crates though....they look to be from the 1982 movie "Creepshow"

Very Short WB deuce or 5ton.

Maybe the little Deuce is going to go on tour, for all to see?

Very Short WB deuce or 5ton.

Rather odd looking, kind of like when you see a midget. On the plus side, it would be hard to get that Deuce high-centered out in the sand when cresting the peak of a sand dune though.

HEMTT Wheels for Your Deuce are READY TO ROLL!

What is the back space, now that the new center is welded in?

    Bobbed truck, Shocks or Not?

I haven't put shocks on the shorty Deuce, and it rides fine with out issues. My Ford F-700 Dually isn't equiped with shocks ether.

What do you to cap your Deuce exhaust stack with?

I got my Deuce in mid winter, and I didn't have space inside my barns for it at the time. So it sat outside for a bit. Now it's inside 99% of the time. When it's not parked inside, I use a plastic 13oz Folgers coffee can to keep the weather out. The 13oz can has just the right inside dia...

Oil pump pickup to oil pan clearance?

How much clearance is there between the oil pump pickup to the oil pan, on a Deuce? My truck at one time or another has been moved with a fork truck/HiLo. I bet ya can't guess who would be responsable for that...... Anyways, I have good oil pressure, but don't want to starve the...

2.5 tons on other vehicles - brakes?

A front Rockwell axle with the hubs "fliped in", is the same width as a standard 4X4 pick-up truck. And you can't flip the front hubs "in" and still retain the stock drum brakes like you can on the rear axle. Also, I run 15" wheels on mine, and they wouldn't fit with the big heavy drum there...

    Frame cutting

    I used a 4 1/2" angle grinder, with a 6" .060 cut-off wheel. It gives you a nice clean cut.

    "car show winner"

I maybe the oddball, and the only one on this site that thinks this way but.....I wouldn't want to own a car/truck or any vehicle for that matter that I was afraid to drive places. I under stand the work, time and money that people put into restoring them, but to me the enjoyment is driving...

    Fur in the fuel tank

I had taken the fuel pump out of my tank a while back. And while it was out, I inspected the inside if the tank. The inside of the tank and fuel pump are very clean (like new) but the pull out strainer was/is covered crusty white. The pull out strainer is the only thing that has any trace of...

    I also used a 4" block with M-105 springs.
