Bearigs always carry a number. So take them out, clean them and check for the number. The same with the radial seals. Give these numbers to your hardwear shop and ask them to order these parts for you. Bearing numbers did not change for at least 80 years, as well as radial seal numbers. I gues...
I once owned a M1009. One day I cut of the brushgard for better access to the engine room. I rely did not feel any difference in driving handling. The weight was estimated about 30 lbs. Note: Tire pressure with standard tires should be at least 2.9 bar (290 kPa) or 20 psi. I used 3.5 bar (350...
To my understanding the blue one is the plus of Gen 1 to the connecting point at the dash (ENG.Wrg. Harness Block) or the minus of Gen 2 from the dash. For your Gen 1 control light does not go off, I guess, it is the plus of Gen 1.
For this refer to chart F-9 of TM 9-2320-289-20.
The black white...
Barrman is at the truth. What you can not see, try to feel it. The problem is not only yours. During rebuilding engines these cocks are very often replaced by plugs. Do you have rebuilding tacs on your engine? If so, some of the cocks will not be there by this or that reason.

That depends on your shop equipment.
Normaly for my understanding it is easier to pull the engine for the front mask is relatively easy to remove. This is also the oppinion of the Manual as far as I remember.
However, some shops prefer to remove the transmission and the transfer by some reasons...
My M101A was a generator trailer with a fuel tank of about 25 gal underneth it, filler néck at the right side. I removed all the generator equipment that was letft and welded on a lot of holes to close them. Instead the fuel tank I installed a Germen truck spare whell hoist and built a mount to...
Nana Ulf,
Bilder davon gibt es unter M715 on tour to Pocking.

one more fact for or better against troop seats on a trailer in germany in use by the US-Army: Even for the US-Army at least from the mid 1950's it was illegal to haul any troops on a trailer for safety. Before it was possible for bus trailers in Germany were legal under certain circumstances...
Generally MVMULES said everthing about the M101 trailer you need to know. I agree, troop seats on that trailer: never ever. Even in the 1970s, when the soldiers in Germany modified almost anything to their needs, nobody had the idea to install troop seats on that trailer. Any kind of shelter /...
I do not know when you have been in Germany, mudstone. However, these trucks had a licence plate that said ARMY or AIR FORCE and below that a 6 diget number like CD3865. This number was issued at the assembly line and stamped into the VIN plate.
I know this for I put several dozend of these...
sa****ightmare is somewhat correct, but he does not know the full truth of it.
The French Army used US Haf tracks up to the mid of the 90's at least for the second line.
The mashines and moulds they had were sold in the late 70's to a scrap dealer who sould the equipment to former Youguslavia...
Sorry,
I have to add some more!
CUCV was delivered according to the VIN plates from 1985 MY code E until 1987 MY code G. And thats what the manual says, too.
Suburbans were no standard Army equipment, even they had several of those. The Air Force was much better equiped with these vehicles...
I live here in Germany I have seen hundreds of CUCV series truck running in US Army use.
They usually have no stars on the hood. They never had any registration painted on the hood for they had Army licence pates. The Reg.-No. you can find on the original VIN label on the driver side B-pillar...
It is a very reare case, however I think you just did blow your pre glow electronics which are located behind the dash in a approximately 3 by 2 inch black housing (If the junk still worked). Over some 120,000 miles due to experiance this electronic device discontinues its service. The plugs...
Your civilian radio frequencies will work with a military antenna if the antena lenght fits to the wave lenght of the CB radio you use. Criteria is : one eight or a quarter of the wave lenght must fit into the antenna lenght. The last details you must check with a frequency determination device...
Try to answer the questions: The tank is a British FERRET, a reconessance tank with a RR engine. Two seats, driver and commander, very tied and small, did a fine job for more than 30 years in the british Army.
The picture 20 (as ist is numbered 20 of 60) shows a 1017A Mercedes Benz truck. So...
