the only way that compressor is running when off is if it’s already bad or the clutch is stuck.
yes, I bad low pressure switch, but never had one bad in this setup.
Dirt
wrong PAG oil
no PAG oil
old dryers
what could possibly go wrong…LOL
the Mfg of the compressor dictates the pag oil viscocity, Sanden uses a PAG15, R4 compressor uses a PAG150, check The dreaded TM.
I literally have to remove a drain plug every week on customer trucks, always hit it with heat first, than once stripped, drill it out and use a large ez-out, it’s literally a 5min job, every week for years….
ive even had good success with vice grips if there is enough threads still protruding...
The simple solution is to buy them from either Kascar, HPG or MAC, than you can be assured your getting the correct plug…even though I continue to state this, I get trucks in the shop with blown Chinese unbranded garbage.
ive literally seen pics of folks filling the hub from the upper plug on the GH, no one bench filled anything, I’ve rebuilt hundred of GH’s, I’ve always filled after the hub is on, if it falls over the GO leaks out of the vent.
If you want to know if the rear diff cooler is cracked and filling...
Or as I’ve seen, some fool who filled the hub from the upper halfshaft retaining bolt hole at the top of the GH…
I just did an M1165A1 that had 3 of 4 over filled. Not the first time I’ve seen this.
