The 3.08 diffs have a much lower top end…I own 6 or 7 ECV’s, they all tach extremely higher than my M1123’s with 2.73’s.
This assumes 37in tires, TC locking and unlocking as it should.
Turbo harness requires some extensions and rewire because the body harness is not the same as the ECV harness, the ECV harness moved some things around and deleted some others.
I have new NOS turbo engine harnesses for sale…
I do motor swaps in my sleep and by myself…I would never think of having all that serp in the way, the Generator already makes contact with components on the drivers side, the crank pulley will contact crossmembers going in.
Ive never reused an NA harness on a Tuebo motor, that’s like a nickel...
The socket cap bolts for the oil cooler are 5/16…you don’t need the button heads you see on some, you can use a standard 5/16 socket head “Hex” socket from any hardware store.
You need to strip that motor down of all that serpentine if you want a smooth instal, remove the intake manifold crossover, and do a 1/2in body lift along with the body cut.
The short answer is yes, you can install a 400amp into an M998 with a 6.2, had one here at the shop…would I? No…it’s darn near the size of the engine, but folks do what folks do.
There are 2 versions of tensioner for the hmmwv, early serp and late serp…the version of serpentine dictates the model of tensioner. A2 trucks would have both versions based on build date of motor, all ECV and later would have only, one version, what referred to as the “Lipped” version, early had...
Aluminum Jack rails are useless, as are aluminum H1 rocker protection “RPP”.
the soft metal digs into rocks and the RPP‘s bow when high centering the truck,
I bid and buy at the same prices you pay, obviously I want the trucks for as cheap as possibl too, so I’m not sure where your problem is, but I don’t whine about the costs of what people are paying, it’s there money, or someone’s money, it’s just not mine, I have an idea of what I want to pay...
Thats a REV booster….orange studs are REV, you need blue studs
Your brakes will be locked up after about 150ft of driving.
that booster uses the Plastic reservoir and bosch MC
Everyones idea of what any particular truck is worth is as vast as the universe, frankly, who cares…really
if someone wants a particular truck, at that moment, on that auction, they will pay whatever they think it’s worth at the time, regardless of what the rest of the universe thinks it’s...
GovPlanet owns the HMMWV’s they have in inventory , it’s just a requirement that restricted items such as armor and communications gear be removed, inspected and demilitarized /scrapped before sale to the public.
Been happening since wars were invented
The Govt never made a Black kit, But Brenton made the kit in Black due to demand from civilians.
no idea if the new company makes them in black, but the cost of the new companies kits rediculous.
DCP is the worst company even since the people who knew wtf they were doing left the company, now everything they sell is absolute junk, I only Buy rebuilds now from distributor….I do a pump per week, some times several pumps per week. I have a stack of rebuilt DCP pumps that run like crap…fresh...
