    28MT replacement starter

I have one on my truck. It is Chinese. Works ok, but I ponied up the $$$ for a rebuilt GM gear reduction unit and will be swapping it out soon. Side by side you can tell the quality difference. But mine is working so far.

What are M416B1 trailers selling for these days?

Sorry guys, sold this a while ago. I think the thread just got bumped so someone could get into the classifieds...

M1008 with 700r4 swap.. MPG and top speed?

That is an option, but you lose your bottom end torque and some towing power with a regear. With the 700R4 I still have all the advantages of the low gears, plus good highway spped and mileage. When I want to tow I just drop the shift lever down a notch and my performance is the exact same as...

Stupid question time: How to post to classifieds?

Yeah, it seems like active boards are trending the exact opposite as reserve ones. We are so short Warrants most of the boards are non comptetative and as long as your packet is in order and you are not flagged you will get selected. Downside to that is because of this they have seen fit to...

which truck series is the best/most reliable

I always reccomend hauling it home. There are too many things that need to be checked out on an unkown truck that was just sold salvage before you run it on the public highway. Not just the fluids- you need to pull the wheels and verify the brakes and wheel bearings are good, inspect your...

Stupid question time: How to post to classifieds?

I am a CW2 919A in the USAR. Hopefully a CW3 soon if the board didn't mind that HRC screwed my board packet up while I was TDY in Korea without access to the net. But since we are so short 919's on the USAR side I should be ok...

which truck series is the best/most reliable

Another .02 from someone who has been in the business. You need to sit down and lay everything out on paper before you starting buying trucks with the idea of cuistomizing them and making money. There is a whole lot involved that most folks don't consider. Since you already purchased a...

which truck series is the best/most reliable

My .02, as someone who has been in the surplus game a long, long time. Buy your trucks to resell. Buy a reliable civilian truck to move them with. Hobby is hobby, business is business. Don't try and mix them, you won't like the results. I have seen a whole lot of people who try and take...

    stering wheel dip stick?

That is the horn button push rod. Your horn button is on the bottom of the steering box, and this pushes it down.

    Yep- 919A in the USAR.

    como wire

I may still have one or two of the one mile rolls of WD-1 at the shop. When I get back from this show in PA I will look and see if any are left.

21st. WWII Weekend - Reading, Pa.

Pretty good day in the flea market area, but I noted a lot of the smaller dealers are not there now that they increased the space rent. We had some good sales and met some good folks. Suprised the M38A1C windshield frame I brought up hasnm't sold yet.

21st. WWII Weekend - Reading, Pa.

Made it to the airport Holiday Inn at 0015 this morning after a leaky radiator and blown belts on the 1028 and a blown tire on the M101 on the way up. Setting up the flea market with a P51 buzzing us - it doesn't get much better!

AMC= Army Material Command TMA would be the facility, not sure what it is. Most of the ones in the 70's are not there anymore.
