How many bottles of bier can one hold approx. w/a little ice? 6? I would buy a few by money order from anyone if they were decent shape. Anybody out there?
What I really should do is weld up an aluminum box insert for a 20mm or 30mm ammo can and allow space for insulation on all...
I posted a pic from the goodyear site of G177s on my M819 Ops/questions thread. It has G186s (12x20). There is plenty of clearance between the duals.
G177s are 43.7" dia. They look like to be the most aggressive tread out there except for the goodyear super singles that the transit trucks...
Welcome! Yeah David Clarks!! [thumbzup] What do you fly?
The only thing remotely dangerous to an engine could be a fuel or additives that are corrosive to soft lines in the fuel system, which don't exist in WVO. If you had a gas engine and wanted to switch to an alcohol/race gas...
Its nice to see someone getting such a nice truck for so little. It will provide infinite fun and practical use. The ambulance will be very jealous :P Enjoy! Are you getting truck A?
May I ask what specific OD green the tractor and tanker is painted?
I'm trying to pick a color(s) for my brother's M819 and we really wanna do a correct three color woodland camo job BUT...the 383 green seems very bright.
Hypothetical question: What would happen if you substituted the...
I would recommend to anyone looking for a truck to check them out. I had a pleasant experience just buying some tires and odds & ends.
When I have enough scrilla for a M817 I know where I'm going.
Attached is a quick sketch of the boom extension pins found on the M819. I didn't get have time to smack it out so the diameter of the through hole for the retaining pin is not known so don't go nuts. I would guess 3/16" or .1875".
Am I tired of seeing your XM757....NO WAY!! [thumbzup] Witnessing its Re-birth is alot fun.
Not sure if this has been asked before but: What is the turning radius of the 757 and how does it compare to the conventional 5ton Tractor and Cargo? I'm pretty sure a Deuces turning radius is...
Hello doody commander and welcome to the site. Nice collection.
My Brother and I recently acquired an M819...see "M819/M246 Ops Questions" thread. The boom contains two of these pins you describe. They are really fat in diameter, have a head on them, and as soon as they exit the other side...
Wow big thanks 73m819 for that IP fuel tip, and light bulb source. Yeah I guess a hydraulic filter will be added in the future, no rush. When shifting into First-Reverse I do hear a very audible "pufftssst" of air.
Now a question for Sir Doyle and company:
What would be an appropriate ratio...
m139h20truck: The tires are Goodyear G186 12.00x20.00 Tube Type Radials. Max PSI is 120 and maximum load on single is 8,210lbs. They are 16ply. The spare is also a 12x20 but is a Powertrak and tread is different as well as being pretty cracked and dry rotted. Goodyear does make new ones but...
More Questions:
7.) What is the amber sealed beam light for on the driver's side fender?
8.) Two out of the three boom spotlights work. Are new sealed beam lamps easily obtained?
BTW when we got it home and played with the crane we found out why the boom was described as "slow" by the police impound guys. THEY DIDN'T LUBE OR SERVICE ANYTHING ON IT!!! When the boom was extended or retracted it skipped and was jittery. Mmmm...Grease..lots of it.
Wow what an adventure, Its a 1971 AMGeneral M819W/W
Arrived at the place around 8AM Saturday and started charging the batts while my brother took care of the paper work (Its his truck.) Batteries showed 16V after charging for a while and tried to crank. The engine rotated about 1°. We...
