I did a York compressor based OBA system with M35 air tanks on my M715 14 years ago. I used semi truck air brake lines to plumb quick connect fittings to both bumpers. Cutting off a male fitting and welding on a 1” round plate made a great plug to keep out crud. It worked great! Until it...
The Governor just sealed the event for good. No more that 10 people gatherings. National and state parks are closing as well.
I went to the store this morning to get a few pounds of beef. I found out there is no ground beef in this town. With no known date for more deliveries. I ended up going...
A&M has cancelled all events and gatherings of more than 50 people for the rest of the semester. Online classes only for now.
The museum website still says the living history weekend is a go. However, with the way things are falling. This might fall too. If that happens, I think we should...
Come over to the Texas Rally in Bryan 3 weeks from now and you will get a chance. If you can’t make it. The Lone Star MVPA meets every 3rd Wednesday at Camp Mabry. Lots of M35 owners are members. Great group of people too. I’m sure a test drive can be arranged.
Since it is basically a new to you used vehicle. You don’t know anything about it. The starter solenoid is unknown to you until it is pulled and looked at.
I had a non Delco solenoid on one of my trucks when it came to me. It stuck on and ran away one night. I don’t recall ever reading about a...
I had one doing what you now describe. Check your isolated ground wire to the intake manifold at both ends. That fixed one.
Another truck years ago had the same issue. Voltage was good running and I just lived with it. Until it started flickering brightly when I hit big bumps. The positive lead...
I hate to assume. But, are you by chance talking about a CUCV?
If so, how did you check the alternator?
Did you load test the batteries and are they fully charged?
A spare will also fit under the rear of a M101A2 with a wind up civilian truck/suv winch. I don't seem to have any pictures here at work of mine. I will get it at home this weekend.
Welcome to the fun. Just so you know. Typing in all capitals is considered yelling and bad manners.
I have one of each of the pumps you listed on non turbo charged 6.2 engines and can't tell a difference when driving. Pretty much any of the 6.2 pumps will work on a healthy engine with good...
The mechanical fuel system is not connected in anyway to the fuel gauge. Yes, the fuel pick up sock mentioned is on the same housing as the fuel level sender in the tank but I can't think of any thing that would connect the fuel gauge moving with fuel not getting picked up. Unless you have a...
The glow plugs on a stock M1009 are 12 volt. They get the same glow plugs as a 1985 Chevy or a 1998 Chevy for that matter.
Delco 9G or 12G is what they came with when new. I would suggest Delco 60G to put in now. The 60 G is self limiting so the chance of swelling or exploding are greatly...
2 different questions were asked:
Can a mechanical 4911 spec injection pump be used on a center mount turbo 6.5 engine?
what has to be done to convert a non turbo 6.2 HMMWV to a center mount turbo?
I’m not going to go near the good or bad of a 700R4 in such a vehicle behind a turbo diesel...
I know you have a 180° thermostat. However, 192°-198° is right where the engine lives with the stock 195° thermostat. Which starts to open at 192° and is fully open at 203°. Are you sure it is a 180° thermostat?
There is a special adaptor/bracket that bolts in at the rear of the head on the drivers side and then connects to the throttle assembly on the IP. Look for 6.2 diesel brackets since the 6.5 I don't think ever came with a non electronic automatic.
At past Rally events we have spent a good full day on the trails as a group. As mentioned already. What we can access really depends on the conditions of the trails and what is open.
