Does anybody know if i can still get the 2 prong connector to plug directly into the generator? Is that a standard item? Right now there are "wing nut" I can put the wire under and use it that way, but it would be neat to find the original style connector to use.
yup... Briggs and Stratton Model ZZ... 6 horse power. It might be a 1947 unit, but i am not sure. there is not a serial number on the engine data plate. Just "Type 308171". Also the data plate that should say, "PE-75" is chipped off. I don't know why it is like that although i can see some...
Here are some pictures right after the first start up. It smoked quite a bit because I put a little oil in the cylinder while I had the head off. It was pretty smoky and not happy, but it eventually cleared up and does not smoke now.
I bought this Genset the other day from a guy in my town. It did not run but is in great shape! It does not look abused at all. It was low on oil when I first checked it, but I added some. The fuel tank inside is in MINT shape and I thought the carb would be the same way. It had the original...
Are there any guidelines for the wick height on these? It seems to me that if there is not enough wind, the burner carbons up and eventually goes out. I'm just wondering if this is the nature of the beast or if i need to replace a wick or something.
Does anybody have any experience with these antique road flares aka “smudge pots”? I bought 2 brand new ones at a swap meet a couple years ago and painted them up nice and planned on using them when I go camping. They work nice to keep the 'skeeters down and to light the area around the camp. I...
I ordered the one from NAPA and it seems to be ok so far. Its not the exact seal for the job, but it works. I don't think anybody could get these trucks not to leak a drop if they tried. We only can get them to drip less. Haha!
The heater blower motor resistor burned out a little while back in my Deuce. I researched a replacement but did not find anybody that had one. Since wire wound resistors are not usually expensive, I decided to see if Newark had a similar resistor. I found a direct replacement and all I had to do...
It all started when I noticed some sprayed oil on my oil filter housings that was coming from the air compressor filter intake. I have the single cylinder air compressor by the way. My first thought is that it is a newer compressor and how could it be worn out? I didn’t think it was. The other...
I used to go to that show every year. I would go but I moved to Michigan. If anybody had a hydraulic head for a multifuel, maybe my dad can get my M109A3 going and take it to the show. Norwich is always a good show. Im going to miss it.
I'll take two of those lights also kipman. I will meet you guys for the first time at the show. I am looking forward to it! I am driving my Deuce down. from Livonia, Michigan if anybody needs something hauled down or back. I will be on Route 75 and 275.
