Sounds good Gimp. I am making plans to head back to NY to get my Deuce over easter and bring it out that weekend. I want to drive it to the findlay show and to haspin in the worst way. I'll bring my parts out then. its probably going to be a 14 hour deuce ride to go the 540 miles.
I wouldnt mind finding an auxillary fuel tank I can store fuel in for long trips with my deuce. Something that would lay nicely in the bed of my deuce around 100-150 gallons would be nice. I would also like to find a real nice pair of front turn signal lights for my deuce, preferably something...
Has anybody ever had a stock deuce fan break? When I rebuilt my truck, the fan was bent, so I got a take-off replacement from another Deuce and it looked to be almost brand new, nice and straight.
Here is a thread that I used to built my alternator bracket. Its pretty much the same exact thing.

I accidenly hit enter when I was editing the title of the thread so if a moderator could correct the spelling to say "Volt" I would appreciate it. I am trying to add the pictures now.
I wanted to post this thread showing how I fabricated up an auxillary battery box for my 12 volt system on my Deuce. I have a Delco 10SI alternator mounted above my factory 24 volt alternator to run 12 volt accessories. My design was to have a dedicated 12 volt system separate of the 24 volt...
I had one of those Clark Bulldozers but it was in really rough shape. I sold it to a friend of my dad’s who is fixing it up. I guess he has a lot done with it and rebuilt the engine and such. It runs and drives now so that’s a lot more than I would have done with it. That thing was way more than...
When I serviced my wheel bearings on my truck, I have a Teflon based spray lubricant that I put on all the break pivot points and such. I hardly used any (careful not to get it all over and on the linings) , but if it helps things move a little smother and adjust easier, etc., why not? I never...
I saw a similiar PTO on a gasser deuce a while back. it was rear output only and i believe the transmission was a non-overdrive unit. This Gasser deuce was a converted cargo I think. I believe the transmission would be the 3052. I was surprised to see rear output only for this gasser...
I am going to try to go to this show. I do not have anything planned so i dont see why I cant go. My M35A2 and all the extra parts I have are still back in upstate New York as of now but I might head back there for easter. I have an FMTV cargo cover (woodland camo) that i would like to part...
I think the vented caps (with the valve to switch from vented to non vented) like that were originally for gen sets, not deuces. Thats why you dont find them in the TM.
You guys must have had fun! Are you bringing it to rousch creek? As for the alternator, i have been happy with mine so far. I have 25,000 miles on mine (early style) and no problems. Check to make sure you have power going to the excitor wire at the alternator before you rip it apart. Wish i was...
My MEP-002A had 2 hours on it when I bought it and is in "like new" condition. I believe my glow plugs work fine because it starts up with no real problems ever. After looking through this thread, it sounds l should take my glow plugs out and put anti-sieze on them, then reinstall them. I love...
I moved to Livonia, Michigan in December. I used to go to the Rausch Creek Rally but I am a little far for that. I put Haspin on my calendar and I am going to try to make it this year. I doubt I will have my Deuce out here for it, but anything is possible. I would need lots and lots of WMO to...
I wish i could go but I am living in Livonia Michigan now. So thats a long ways for me to travel :( i wish i could though! my deuce is still in new york though. i need to get it out here sometime whenever i find a place to put it!
It looks great! I did a similar frame off restoration, but I decided to bang mine up before I restored it. aua My dad would love your build because that is the same color they had when he was in the reserves. When I rebuilt mine, I tried to put in as many options and upgrades as I could...
I bought the paint from Rapco. It was under $400... i forget now. What i did was paint everything 383 green. Then i painted the 911 Black by holding the paint gun in one hand and the "paint by numbers" military paint guide in the other. Then after the black was painted, i painted the brown. I am...
