    Do I need a EUC for a M101A3 trailer?

Did you get the invoice, or a Paid in Full invoice? Does it have "Paid" stamped in red across it? If it does, go get it. If it doesn't have the reda "Paid" on it, you need to send the EUC. You can view the invoice before it gets marked paid in full.

    6.2 L Diesel CUCV M1008 M1009 M1028 K30 K5 Glow Plugs

The bets thing you can do to extend glow plug life is put your plugs on a manual switch. Use them when you start cold, they are not needed when the engine is warm. That eliminates all the glow plug cycles from hot/warm starts. Fewer cycles=longer life.

    Insane MKT Price??

True- I always assume everybody uses that. Be interesting to see the bid histor- anyone here place any bids on it?

    Insane MKT Price??

Remember, just putting extra zeros alone won;t cause a bid to go super high unless somebody else was bidding on it also.... it takes 2 people to drive a bid up (assuming the auction is run honestly).

    Bragg tomorrow, Redstone Tuesday

It will be next Tesday, I should have been more specific.

    700r4 swap into a M1008

They built the transmission in mine and the torque converter knowing it would be a non-lockup, so heat won't be an issue they say. It involves a non-lockup valve and changes to the cooling circuit. Now had it been built as a lockup and then left unlocked that would get hot quick. Trans...

    700r4 swap into a M1008

I can't really give a good estimate on the mileage yet since I have been hauling about 1k in the bed and pulling a trailer up and down the mountain, but I can tell you the needle goes down a lot slower.... I am headed to Bragg tomorrow, then Jackson, then home so that will be a good amount of...

    700r4 swap into a M1008

Well, I am about 400 miles into my 700R4 swap, and all I can say is that it is the best thing I have ever done to my truck. The lower first gear is very noticable when you start, feels like a lot more power. I can cruise at 65 and not go deaf! I had a local shop do the swap. I got a fresh...

    front pintel

I am welding up a slip-on reciever hitch for my M1028 that will do the same thing. A front reciever hitch is a great way to push trailers into a tight space.

    Good tarps?

I sell new production, American made, OD green, heavy duty tarps in my shop. Canvas Tarps They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for with tarps, and these are worth every penny. I can also get custom sizes made, but the lead time is several weeks.

    CUCV Pickup 2320-01-090-7894

My money says it is a regular M1008 or M1028 and somebody got lazy at DRMO and is just using a generic pickup truck NSN to list them under.

    Pioneer Tool Trailer

If it is one of the old style with the clamshell doors on it, sure. If it is one of the new ones that has all hydraulic tools mounted on a flatbed trailer, I wouldn't try it.

    Detroit 2-71

I have seen some in the old, old style large welding trailers.

    Something hinky on GL today

Hit the "Print Screen" Button, open up MS paint, and clip paste from clipboard- it will post a screenshot of what was on the screen when you hit "print Screen". Save and email to GL.

    A3 parentage

Yup. AM General did the rebuild, so it is considered an AM General truck coming off the line.

    cucv price?

Private seller, $2000-6000 depending on condition for a M1009, $3000-7500 for a M1008 or M1028 depending on condition. Drop some for GL prices, if you are willing to deal with EUC delays, SF-97 delays, no test drives, etc. I have a M1008 that I am going to sell as soon as I get a new starter...

Is running a singled dually rim on a trailer a bad idea?

Yup. By changing the geometry, you are increasing the load on the wheel bearings. Now are the 101A2/A3 wheel bearings overengineered enough to handle the change? Most likely- but be aware you are putting more stress on them.

    SF 97 Charges unfair

I would like to read the contract- but given that Government Liquidation just "invented" the $60 fee when they were forced to start issuing SF-97's again I tend to believe it is not included in the contract.

    SF 97 Charges unfair

I meant specific to military surplus sales. Prior to the whole fiasco of Government Liquidation, the process was simple. Stuff was sold at whatever DRMO it was turned in at, and you got your SF-97 when you bought the truck. Ahh the good old days- when you showed up, looked at the stuff, bid on...
