The exact same lie they told me, but with a credit card.
Visa and my bank both confirmed that had there been an attempted charge, it would show to them and a transaction # would be on Government Liquidations system. It didn't show, and GL of course could not provide a number.
Government Liquidation has a long history of screwing up on their end about charging you, then blaming you or your bank.
They have done it to me, they have done it to others, and they will lie to you about it when they do.
Dollars to donuts it is your water pump. I have seen the plastic impellers go just like that. They crack or strip and then sometimes they catch on the shaft and spin, sometimes not, sometimes spin at half speed due to slippage, getting progressively worse.
Damm I didn't see this sooner.
Case has a rebuilding center at Ft McCoy where they strip down the MW2$C's and totally rebuild them. In the past when my unit has been up there they have really helped us out with parts, and if you call, since it is a museum, they may be willing to sell or donate...
I have a 2006 AMG 6.5 I am about to sell, I swapped it into my 94 Chevy truck but the transmission has gone out on the truck. Engine runs 100%, and you can hear it run now.
Same engine I mentioned earlier in this thread.
I had it in the classified here lower than Teds, and I thought I had...
As soon as AM General got the rights to the engine they worked with Navistar to redisgn the block and heads to eliminate many of the weak spots, and changed the metal composition to a stronger alloy.
Among other things, the block fire deck is thicker and the main bearing webs are stronger.
Depends- is the long block a GM block, of an AM General block?
If you can get an AMG made 6.5, jump on it. Best of all blocks in the series. They are easy to spot because in the valley bewteen the heads there is a large IH diamond logo cast into the block.
Balanced injectors do a lot to make an engine run smoother, and as a result are easier on the crank. The closer to each other the pop pressure on the injectors are the better off you are.
My 94 C1500 has a 2006 AMG 6.5 in it, the transmission is out in it and I am debating if I want to sell...
Indeed, you can rebuild yours for 18:1 and then you will be able to run higher levels of boost from your turbo system.
The guys pushing for max power from 6.2/6.5 engines do just that.
But you will need a turbo engineered to deliver enough boost to make it worth it. Just dropping the CR...
Yes, the lower CR in the marine engines is due to the fact that they run more boost in them, often the marine applications are supercharged instead of turbocharged.
More boost means more air, so you can burn more fuel, making more power.
In addition marine applications can push more fuel...
