Canon, where did you see power steering?
Like Ace said... that is the old style shaft on a MF conversion... There is another shaft with a thinner neck for this reason.
Mine was set up the same way and did have rub marks on the shaft from tweaking and flexing before I did my steering...
I disagree with that 1458 filter being used on a LD, LDT, or LDS... Even in parallel your still under rated for the oil systems GPM. Yes it will fit, yes it will work... but its going to bypass a heap more oil than it should and the element's are going to see a lot more pressure on them than...
Head gaskets leak oil as do valve gaskets, head gaskets almost always leak from the ends of the head due to warpage... Re torque your studs and see if it helps.
Also keep in mind there are leaks... and then there are LEAKS... most everyone has leaks and its not a huge worry.
One is a gates number and one is a Napa number but both are more or less the same...
I see there are some other duplicates on parts starting to pop up also, I will see about getting them cleaned up and combined.
Great idea but that would mean SS would have to be licensed and registered as a DBA and insurance broker in every state it was to insure a member in... If we had 100k + members it might be worth while, otherwise we be bankrupt before getting 1/10 of the states under our belt.

Try the HEC "euro trash" housing with the yellow bulbs or yellow covers... I would never own another type of light housing after having these!!!

A compressor wrench is helpful but not needed, the TM covers the adjustment but its pretty simple to work out on your own. I personally suggest anti seizing everything when its apart... The part #'s are in the cross section and change all of the belts as you have to pull the other two to get to...
