It would be cheaper to go back with surplus 24V parts than it would to convert to 12V... Besides as mentioned the 12 will pull a snot load more amperage on it... These starters are bad enough as is with out adding that extra abuse to it.

I run Optmia battries... They cost more than the 6T's do but I like the longevity, power, fording ablity and best of all... NO LEAKING ACID!!!
Yep them highlifts are a must but ya forget how useful they are if ya get out of the off roading crowd for long... I had a really nice jeep mount devised for those some time ago... I think its time to revamp that for deuce's.

Well last night was my first 230+ mile run with the beast... It was great! One snag (my own doing) I didn’t plumb my air lines for fording yet to the axles and I had crushed my rear vent while rebuilding the rear... so I got a nice little seal leak going!! Also have fluid coming up my speedo...
Hey are not "hard" to produce... but they are costly to produce "time" wise... There are two ways to make them, ether from aluminum with a thread inset for the filter or as some of the pictures show, made from 2" hex bar threaded on each side....
I have the lathe and materials for making them...
If you have numbers on the carb you should be able to order it at any INTELLIGENT auto parts store... If not I am sure Memphis can ether supply or point you into a direction on them...
