I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Pretty much the exact same answer I got. Looks like a replay of the demil change fiasco we saw on small arms brass earlier this year- somebody somewhere changed it without thinking or any good reason. Now we need to exert pressure on the DOD, via our elected represenatives and directly, to...

    GL wants my Deuce back

There has been plenty of stuff with tritium guages sold, they just remove the guages, not crush the whole thing. I have purchased hundreds of radios that had tritium meters, they just removed the meters and sold the rest.

    GL wants my Deuce back

Huh? They are talking about the equipment that was in the back, not the stuff on the dashboard. Absolutely no reason to panic. The NSN for that behicle included the specilaized equipment in the back, and that is what the DOD is concerned about. The entire disconnect appears to be that...

M1101 trailer that sold on GL 10/15

Who got the M1101 trailer at Stewart yesterday? I stopped even looking at $3450, what did it fionally sell for? I know there are not many out there yet, but damm... the M818's sold for less money than a 3/4 ton trailer!

    GL wants my Deuce back

Good to hear that calling him worked out. Sometimes it just takes finding the person with the ability and desire to make things happen.

Anyone going to Barstow to inspect?

    Can't push start an A3.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

I disagree. Clearly from what you read here GL is giving different stories and explanations to different people. Part of the ombudsmans job is to get clear answers when GL is not giving them. If it is BS, a response from somebody at DRMO saying it is so would set that straight and eliminate a...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Just sent my email: I recently was told, but have not been able to confirm, that Government Liquidation will be selling M35A2 series trucks as scrap instead of on regular auctions because they may be able to get a higher price. If this is true, it will have the serious negative effect of...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Thing is, I have seen zero indication that the demil code has changed. None ofthe online resources I ahve access to show a change. The info I am seeing, shaky as it is, is that DRMO and/or GL are changing the auction terms independant of what the demil code is.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

DRMO does not set them either, the item manager does- and the item manager could care less what they bring at auction.

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

I have a hard time beliving GL has the authority to change the demil code for an item. In fact, I know they can't. If they start selling items under the wrong demil code, then the IG and our Congressmen need to get involved.

    New air comp

Used for general repair work in motorpools, especially in the field.. They will run air tools but they ahve a small tank so you spend a lot fo time waiting for them to build pressure back up. 5 cfm, 175 PSI if I recall correctly.

    m35a2 Battlefeild repair kit

They are called BDAR kits, there are two versions now a crew kit and a maintainer kit. Here is some info on them.

    GL wants my Deuce back

They don't care about condition. All they want to do is check the box. They need to be able to say either "item X recovered and sent to demil" or "Item X certified as demilled by XXXx". They could get it back burned to the bare frame, as long as they can check the box on their forms they...

    GL wants my Deuce back

Ok everybody. I have done the research and determined who the item manager is for the OP's truck. This is important for two reasons, one is that the item manager determines demil codes, the other is that the item manager determines what the demil requirements are. I sent the OP an PM with...

    Deuce trailer brake controller?

I came damm close to bidding on that truck- how is it?

    GL wants my Deuce back

Normal government overreaction. One guy gets a DUI, the whole unit gets a lecture and a DUI class. One idiot overloads a jackstand and it buckles, every jackstand on post must be load tested again. One or two M35's get sold that somebody freaks out over, every M35A2 must be puleld and...

    Forklift fornication

This is actually part of a secret CIA program to defeat China or North Korea when war comes with them When it looks like a war is about to develop, the CIA will secretly inflitrate the enemies logistics chain. Then they will secretly replace the dock, railroad, and logistics workers with GL...

    GL wants my Deuce back

Guys, I don't see any reason to panic here. From working on the inside, I can see pretty much what has happened. Some item manager who overseas the instrumentation shop system has determined that the demil code for the shop set needs to be changed, because there is a lot of sensitive stuff on...

    GL wants my Deuce back

As do I. if youy have modified, sold part, stripped, etc they will want what is left back, as long as it is still teh basic "end item".
