Not sure but I did a double take while passing a construction site the other day. It certainly is the right color. :D At $50 each TWF is undoubtedly doing well on them but they do a nice job with their part. They are chamfered nicely and notched and drilled for the valve stems. They fit snugly...
Just finished mounting my brand new 37" Wrangler MTs onto a set of H1 12 bolts. (Thanks TedG) I put in a set of PVC double beadlocks from Trailworthy Fab. Great experience dealing with them. I've read several places on the internet how hard they are to get inside the tires. I thought it was...
If yours is a nice solid green already, then your well off and it may only take a can or two of the other colors. My green was bad too so it took me 4 or 5 cans of green as well.
I love the diesel in my 1008 over a gas engine but really, trying to hop one up with anything short of a turbo seems like a waste of time and effort. It is what it is.
I always thought water injection was to cool down the charge in a high compression gas engine to help with pre-ignition. I...
Thanks for the photos. That's my plan too. Going to use a single exhaust crossover from a 350 gas truck and use a round muffler in the bed with a water flapper on top. For the intake snorkel I plan on 4" bent tubing topped with a Deuce intake hood at the windshield pillar.
Actually Wayne, it's SENSE but who cares? We don't make fun of folks for misspelled words. This is my point about this forum. The two that are doing the most hollting here are also offering NO help to the original question. Stop rocking the boat.
Original's suggestion sounds the most plausible so far. Just knowing how a diesel works vs a gas engine one would guess that a "miss" sensation on a diesel has got to be one or more injectors not supplying sufficient fuel to the cylinder(s). There is no ignition system to missfire like a gas...
Well done my friend. You do what you gotta do in a pinch.
It is very common for the towed load weight to exceed the tow vehicle's weight, such as camping trailers, race car haulers etc. However, trailer brakes come in mighty handy in those situations.
Careful Dan. No fun allowed here while we're waiting for supermechanic''s fix.
Wonder if some debris made it upstream to an injector during the filter change? Doesn't sound like air in the line to me but I'm fairly new to diesels.
Obviously tall tires or gear ratio changes are the best thing you can do for better mileage and drivability. As others have said, when converting to gas make sure to change the torque converter and other transmission controls to components more compatible to the gas motor.
If your steering wheel is installed on the mark and the rag joint is correct the only right way to center the steering wheel is through the drag link. If you cheat it, the truck will turn sharper on way than it will the other way.
I moved my axle forward an inch so my drag link adjustment is...
