My Hz meter works some times and then not, not sure if the % load works. The test showed around 30% load but did jump around. I read in the TM about how to adjust the Droop but it did not seem to change the droop. It did limit the amount throttle travel. Here is the thread on the panel...
I ran a small load test to check the droop. I set the gen to 62 Hz and plugged in two heaters and 1000 watt light. The volts stayed at about 122 volts but the Hz drooped to 58.3. Does this seem right, see video.
Thanks
Installed the panel
I installed the panel today using 6/4 SO cable. Ohmed the panel through to power lugs, all ok. Started it up, let it warm up, flip breaker NO SMOKE!! Pluged in my killOwatt 61.8 HZ and 121.5 Volts. All is good.:jumpin:
Thanks for the help!
We have had two outages since I got my MEP-002 a few months ago. Now I have the plugs and wire to hook it up to the house. Pin and sleeve conectors cost mucho bucks.
The way the panel is wired is one breaker feeds one side of the 240 outlet and one 110 outlet. The other breaker feeds the other side and one 110 outlet. Both breakers are 20 amp each. So you can run 110 or 240 but not both at the same time.
Thanks for the feed back
I picked up one of these panels Surplus Center - 120/240 VAC GENERATOR PANEL BOX to add to my MEP-002A. I open the panel up and it seems the wire color is all over the place. Red, Black, Green, Blue and Gray. How ever when I ohm out the panel it is using the Gray and Blue for power and the Green...
Wayne I followed your lead per the PM and found this on the dieselpage

The lifter takes up the slack in the pushrod to rocker clearance using engine oil as a hydraulic fluid. A worn or damaged lifter collapses and eventually won't lift the pushrod enough to actually work the valve - there...
lifter removel
Yes, the 9-2320-289-34 page 3-28 talks about using a fingered tool or a magnet to remove the lifters. After head removel. Was wondering who had done it without removing the head and how hard had it been. I was a little off in my first post.
Thanks
We have checked every thing over the past few months. And the only thing left is to replace the lifters on the drivers side bank. So how do you replace the lifters without pulling the head? I have read that it can be done but not how to do it.
Thanks for any help
Noise
I had the same problem, turns out I was missing a fender bolt. I put in a new bolt with shims and all is better now. I still have some noise while on gravel washboard roads, could be the back seat.
Check the IP return line check valve for small black particles. This could indicate pump problems or valve could just need cleaned. Just one more item that is cheap to check.
