    Run flats

    1) not from the outside that I know of 2) the beadlock/runflat are one piece 3) Pretty much. When you put them back together you have to watch the oring that seals the two halves together so that it doesnt get pinched. If you have the late model 12 bolt wheels then they have an extra hole that...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

If those are the aluminum brackets the light bar comes with you might want to think about having some copies made of steel and using those. The aluminum ones are known to flex and break apart after a while.

Turning an M998 into a brush truck

from a different thread: so far its still working perfectly and I've put some decent miles on the truck.

Found a couple used 5.56 blanks, that about it.

    Wheel Leak

You can find whole kits that have both input and output seals, a new lock washer, and the nylon seals that go on the fill/drain plugs. A quick search of "hmmwv hub seal kit" brings them up. Not sure if they are cheaper somewhere else, but that's where I found them.

    M998 charging issue?

Volt meter across the batteries while it's running, 24v or less means it's not charging. Should have 28v when it is.

    Glow plug 705 no spades!

They are 24v, just go out there with a volt meter and test if you are unsure.

    Glow plug 705 no spades!

Yeah those bosch ones are 12v plugs https://www.boschsparkplugs.net/product.aspx?zpid=16007 Kascar used to sell non-swell glow plugs on their site but I cant find them any more. HPG has a set but I dont think they are the non-swell kind...

    Glow plug 705 no spades!

Are you sure those plugs are 24v? The cucv has 12v plugs with spade connectors.

EESS PCB replacement for the HMMWV ?

yep, if it says smart start then its newer. You can also tell because they have the small testing port on the front.

EESS PCB replacement for the HMMWV ?

You could always take the box out and take it apart and see whats blown. If fixable it will probably cost less than a new S3 box.

EESS PCB replacement for the HMMWV ?

That S3 box is the latest and greatest version. Sounds like you fried your box though.

    Glowplug controller question

The EESS (Engine Electrical Start System), PCB (Protective Control Box), BOX, S3(Smart Start System) all refer to the same thing, just different versions of it from different manufacturers. It is the box located under the dash on the drivers side that controls the power to the glow plugs (GP's)...

Broke halfshaft in the field. Options please...

Those look like the upgraded 10k shafts too. What were you doing when it broke?

Upgrading HMMWV With More Civilian Components

Dont forget the HMMWV runs a 24v system, so you are either going to have to convert the truck to 12v or run a separate 12v circuit to power those things.

    Negligent Discharge or Creative Ventilation

Guess I got lucky, no added holes to the floor of my truck.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Lol I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not, but yeah no hitch was removed. I actually have a hitch off an H1 sitting in the garage that I have to mount up eventually, but I'm too lazy and its cold as **** which doesn't help the situation.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Ok last picture, I just like taking pictures of the truck haha. I've put more miles on it during the storm than I have in the last month, and its a monster. Pulled out cars/trucks and blew through snow drifts without a hitch, love this thing.
