I used to get it from Sprucemtsurplus.com , 30 bucks a gallon , but dont know if don still has any?
I got 7 gallons myself , i think it will hold me ;-)
I sell one every now and again... i ussually sell a truck because my wife says there are to many army trucks on the property again, I recently sold one of my deuce's because i bought a 5 ton.
But that is the only reason i sell.
With enough time and money anything is possible, as far as speed goes, i drive mine at 53 mph all day, and i feel that is pushing it, that is on stock tires. I think the truck is an awesome platform. but slow moving and the brake system kinda svcks, Eastern surplus sells a airbrake conversion...
Well if there is no turbo to fry ,what are acceptable egt levels, i would think that in the exhaust manifold 1250 would be acceptable.
Your not going to have your foot to the floor nonstop, and if you arent trailering a heavy trailer, i dont see where you should be having a problem.
I've done quite a few, front axles, and always go with one piece silicone boots, The silicone hold up way better than the old style rubber does. And while you got it apart you can do the seals and repack the bearings, Of course this is what recovery aready said, but it is the way to go.
