My 2cents , I've had an M211 and they are LOVELY trucks as long as the transmission is in good working order. There have been too many out there that have been owned by those that have filled them with 30 weight non-detergent motor oil. There are no anti-foaming additives in that kind of oil...
Let me see how it might work, my wife Jane had the nub left of her recently removed appendix explode and had to be operated on again tonight. Perhaps, I may be able to help with the truck recovery, perhaps not. My truck and trailer can easily carry the truck to western WA all on it's own. It...
:funny:
Some 90 weight gear oils are actually thinner than 50 weight engine oils. 50 weight engine oil will fit within the normal parameters of for a 90 gear oil. Look it up :D :deadhorse:
To my knowledge none left British service without going through the Proof House that certifies that the gun is dead. So no, none should be in the US with a live gun. If you have a Museum you can get them in live . . . the hard part is convincing the British not to break them first.
The...
Hard to maintain compared to what exactly? Compard to a Jeep? Then it's a nightmare, compared to other armor . . . not too bad at all. The British plug and weld the barrel but that will NOT pass muster by the ATF. As I understand it now you won't get the barrel into the US at all these days...
If you want an actual "tank" not an APC, SPG or other tracked armor I can only really recomend one that fits in your price range: British FV101 Scorpion tank like in my avitar. They are easily transportable (about 8 tons), reliable, have rubber padded tracks and FAST!

Somebody needs some lessons in decorum. You come to a site that you have paid nothing toward and make demands of a moderator? :cookoo: OK, I'll insult your intelligence by saying that you appear to have little to none. I do know something about you, you are self important and believe...
Rescue is kinda easy for us as we have a trailer for hauling my small armor. We did this once over on the peninsula, it worked out great for both parties. He didn't have to risk untested brakes in a deuce, and we got to take a nice little ferry ride. He just had to pay for fuel and the ferry...
Thanks Scott but no need to wait. Now that I know the time, it will depend on how early I can get out of here and how long it takes to put 75-100 gallons in the beast (at least it isn't empty). Besides, I never know when Murphy will decide to climb out of my back pocket and give me a thorough...
What is the departure time for the convoy to Brad's? Jane and I are trying to go to WallyWorld first but in case we are running late, we'd like to know when we should divert directly to Brad's. Thanks!
Somewhere :D . . . the small "cheap" RR. I should have said Yugo, it wouldn't have been so confusing.
I know why they trust me, but what's the point, I ain't ever gonna buy one unless it's in 1:24 scale.
It's like this for me, a nice wine tastes good; Grey Poupon tastes just fine as well. The truth is, I'd rather have a beer and yellow mustard with my burger. My favorite car to drive is still my pickup (in a pinch I'll steal my wife's Raptor pickup). I was once a car guy, loved exotics and...
So we get a call this morning from my brother-in-law and he says, "you want to come by and drive a 2011 Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe?" Is this a trick question, I ask myself. We arrive in the showroom and drool over the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador in flat black paint, that just arrived last week...

I bought the Leslie RS-5T and they are MASSIVE, you won't be able to hide them anywhere! Hiding one behind the ample grill of the HEMTT might even be a chore.

Sorry Scott, mine is a 1993 Hummer, not a HMMWV. BUT, it has a higher payload (2 tons), heavier geared hubs, CTIS and sound deadening. Oh, and real seats. :) At least it has CARC paint from the factory . . .
It looks like we are going to make it unless it pouring down rain. We are bringing the HEMTT as anything else would have to come by trailer and what fun would that be?
Now Scott, what are you assigning us to bring? We don't really care what, we just don't want to decide.
