Just an idea here. At the shows, like the aberdeen , gilbert, etc shows, rallies etc. What if the steel soldiers had some sort of representation there? Like a small wireless setup so people could join the forum and just give someone the $15 in person. Just an idea.

I think the 8 bolt wheels were for the bias ply tires. They also were not desiged to carry alot of weight.

I have an m36E3. It is not the total A3 setup. I has the cat 3116, air assist steering, air dryer, dual brake circuit. But i doesn't have the automatic, it has a 5 speed and it doesn't have the CTIS and it doesn't have the A3 grill

I think the A3 brackets are longer because of the reduced space between the grill and the bumper

the flying HMMWV is a compelely different thing then airlifting them

I am very interested in seeing how your winch setup will turn out. I have a similar project i am working on adding a winch to a nonwich m36E3. It has the cat motor like the a3 does but not the trasmission or CTIS. I got the cat pump and the hydraulic motor and couplings and adapter from ebay...

The transfer case would need to be shifted back. I can understand why mudguppy went with the nv4500

That would be about 700 ft lb torque I would need to find a different transmission to hold up to it.
