If you have access to shop air just fire them off with that and it will give you an idea if the sound is really off. Another thing to check is see if the original solinoid is full port and this can be done by releasing ALL air and remove the valve and have some one push the horn button and look...
I confronted you awhile back about telling people they could drive a 6X6 Deuce with a class C and you proceeded to write me that you can drive a tractor trailer with a class C so long as it was not for hire. Unfortunately all of the ads with the lies are no longer shown on ebay as they have...
The first thing I would look into is a larger solenoid that is spec'd out for your horn set and a feed line that matches. If your getting a 100+psi you have more then enough pressure and are just lacking a little on the volume.

The problem I have with Steve is there is just to many lies coming from him. His ads seem to be 25% B.S. and I will admit he does bring a good price on these trucks but I think part of the reason he does is due to the line of crap he post. I have had him tell me that he can legally drive a...
"Should I build another MRAP" NO!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the moderators should delete this thread due to it is purely here to draw attention to his Ebay ad in a indirect way in violation to the forum rules. He became a member last month to just promote his B.S. business.:deadhorse:
I believe the site you are looking for is the g503.com.

I have never heard of a drive shaft causing death wobble. If a drive shaft was out of balance or U joints worn it would cause a vibration not the front wheels to wobble like they were coming of the truck.

I personally have not had it happen in my DUKW. But I have been in DUKW's that did do it and usually it originates from a sloppy steering box or ball joints and when you hit a bump it starts to wobble and the slop just amplifies it. I would go around all your ball joints with a pry bar looking...
From what I can tell there was two versions. The early ones had round wheel wells and did not survive well due to no bumper rail, no break away system and assorted other problems. The trailers seem to match the DUKW production period but they only made 500 trailers and 21,147 DUKW's...
That is interesting. That trailer seems to have the DUKW combat rims instead of the duals. Every picture including war pictures have had the duals off of a CCKW.

Russ did you get a chance to sneak by Cleaver Brooks? I am going to try to get a friend to go do some measuring of of one of these trailers a few hours from here. There used to be a bunch of great photos online and now they just disappeared so I have nothing to make sketches off of for him to...
Thanks Jeff, Were you trying to tease me about thta pump the other day on the G. I have a prop but I was planing on keeping it as a spare for my two DUKW's Let me think on that one for a bit.

Why do you want to remove the red paint? If it is not peeling and is bonded well then I would scuff it and prime and paint it. If you strip it you will want to use a zinc chromate primer like they did originally with the aluminum body otherwise the paint will start peeling sooner then you...
From what I have seen they were used for hauling ammo and supplies ashore. They had a cover over the cargo bay to seal them up due to no pumps on board. By the sounds of it they never did work very well and most of them are sitting on the bottom of the ocean.
