If its an manual transmission you can put the transfer case in neutral. Of course the safest and most correct would be removing but Ive towed them before with the T case in neutral and seems to work fine.

The only other tranny other than the original cat 7155 is the Allison HT4070 7-speed upgrade. Sounds like someone has done some custom work.

Both my A3's do the same thing but never use it so I keep it off. I was assuming that I have a manifold issue.

the stock one has a pretty good whistle to it but the muffler absorbs most of it.

Those are the 2 pin to nato. Ive been trying to find nato to 2 pin and havent had much luck.
