I would like to do something else with my steering wheels (re-coat, etc.) they look like they got them out of a wrecking yard. AM General to DOD, "We rebuilt the whole truck but got these steering wheels out of the back forty to save $50 bucks".

Is that $700 used, rebuilt, NOS? Just wondering if Im sitting on a gold mine with the spare one I have. :D

check your fluid levels, especially the oil from what Mike says.

If mine ever worked I would never use it anyway. I run 55psi in front and 50psi in rear. If I ever took it to the dunes or whatnot its faster to manually air up and down. I would never trust the system to properly inflate my tires anyway, I want to see the gauge reading for myself. 2cents

Being that tall the best thing and faster fix is the seat. I'm only 5' 10" and have to peer under the windshield. My two cent is to yank the seat and put in a civy bucket that is about 3" lower.

Sounds like the tranny is toast, there is a thread on here already on having one rebuilt. Almost cheaper to buy a new truck. Sorry about the problems.

I do wish they had a bit more ponies. going to add turbo and turn up fuel a bit at some point.

Is that your truck? That would be the last one for sure. Also 250 on trans temp doesn't seem right to me, driving in the nevada desert in august I hit 225 max and then it seems the fan comes on when either the engine hits 200 or trans hits 225. But im not expert, that's just a observation of...
