De-pollenating the LMTV for an event in Austin this weekend. If you've never spent spring time in Central TX you're missing out on the wonderful layer of yellow gunk that coats EVERYTHING this time of year. I know you folks in the northeast are still fighting snow but my wife would trade you...
Well I broke my brakes. Anyone have a suggestion for an off the shelf replacement? The place I got the rebuild kit from has them but core exchange is required and I don’t think he’d like my core.
Or look in the classifieds. Your question is kind of like “how long is a piece of string?” Too many variables to give a generic answer. What condition do you want? First gen? A1? Etc, etc.
Thanks! The goal, if the parts make it in, is to have it driveable by the end of next week. The Lone Star MVPA participants in an Open House at the TX National Guard Hdqts every April and I’d like to take it for that as it’d be a little bit unusual. Also I could put it on my trailer to take up...
Still waiting for the goodie box from England but I went ahead and pulled the master cylinder. I’m not going to actually crack it open until I get the rebuild kit but it’s off and being cleaned up.
I think they could have found a better place for the MC but at least they put a skid plate under...
That’s why he’s my go to guy anytime I need parts. His expertise and free advice are beyond compare. If it weren’t for him and NDT my truck would likely be a lawn ornament.

I was in a TOW battalion at Ft Lewis. We switched from M151 mounted TOWs to HMMWV TOWs around 1986. They were great until you had to ground mount them for an exercise and pack all the crap about 100 yards from the vehicle.
-34-2 page 9-2 shows the Front Axle Assembly replacement. That's probably as good as you're going to get. Easier to replace as a unit then tearing down anything. Depot level maintenance might get into that.
The ticket prices aren’t just to get in there’s 3 full days of classes also. Try seeing 3 consecutive days of Major League Baseball and then compare prices.
No. I’ll actually be doing it in a 2015 Nissan Titan. There was one spot with a 50” clearance over a bridge but they reinforced the bridge and opened it to all traffic.
Here’s my setup (keeping the thread on track it’s also what I’m bringing to Flagstaff).
