    just use the new 1165 body bolts, and spacers and it will give an old 998 a 1" lift. I did it to mine and it works quite well with no other mods needed. It makes room for the new style fuel tank and removal of drive line pbrake and new style xcase.

    ya it's not any fun at all. you should be able to remove the 2 rear support bars from the rad and lift it up just enough to get the fan out.

    when your voltmeter is in the red you may want to stop. you prob put 30-40 volts into those batteries and they are now junk. I would check them very carefully and replace your generator.

    The local DDA dealer has one but said the engine had to be an electronic motor for them to be able to get a signal on it for rpm and without that he couldn't give me any usable numbers.
