when your voltmeter is in the red you may want to stop. you prob put 30-40 volts into those batteries and they are now junk. I would check them very carefully and replace your generator.
The local DDA dealer has one but said the engine had to be an electronic motor for them to be able to get a signal on it for rpm and without that he couldn't give me any usable numbers.
