why don't you just do the .69 OD gears for the stock trans and be done with it. it is by far the cheapest and quickest of all the options.
.69 overdrive for M-35 and variants
would you mind posting the part number of the arp studs. I am putting my 6.5 together and I'd like to use them.
Did you go back with stock head gaskets?
not that I know of. I also have 24's on my truck but they are the even spaced ones.
the TM didn't mention going back and checking the torque after putting some miles on it but I don't think it will hurt.
85 on the first pass, 110 on the second.

ya it does, thats why I just converted my 4man pu to a slantback.
Just the slantback pieces, if you can find them cost me about 3k and I'm not done with it yet. I already had the roof, A, B, and C pillar parts installed.
stock hmmwv gauges are 24V which means you need a completely new wiring harness and electrical system.
You might as well start a frame off resto on this thing if you plan on converting your H1 to a 998? Is that your plan?
I'd never do it. You realize you'd need to remove the entire fabric interior on your H1. the mil stuff leaks everywhere and is way louder.
If your converting the whole truck to a 998 then go for it but I wouldn't unless you were doing that.
would you mind unplugging the rpm sensor and seeing what it does. I'm planning on doing the install but not doing the rpm sensor until I swap to the 6.5T.
I was told that the trans will still shift as normal but without the rpm sensor the converter clutch won't lock up. I'd like to know if...
sounds good. I'm about to do the same swap on mine, I've got the 200amp gen to swap though.
How did you get 12V from your 60a gen or did you just go to one of the + terminals on the batteries?
I'll be swapping to the new style driveshaft when I do mine.
Did you install the RPM sensor on...
