it's roughly 2k miles. if it can be driven, then 2750. if it must be hauled then I could do it for 4675. if you just want me to pick it up and hold it until you make further arrangements then I can picl it up and hold it here for $200.

not sure about that but I know for sure that if you were to have them as a civilian it would make the truck over-width.

This I gotta see. I seriously doubt truck drivers will start retaking their entire CDL complement of exams every months and half of it every 6 months. I am both and airline pilot by day and a weekend truck driver, so I'm pretty well versed in both worlds.

yup just click the link I provided in my last post and you will see all the nice new parts available for this trans. and as I said I don't think you need the overdrive but thats the only way your going to get the needle bearing setup.

Not a problem at all. Mine doesn't even come close to lugging. actually it brings it into a sweet spot for the torque curve.

some of the late trans's had 2nd gear drilled for better oiling. might want to consider doing this to yours. also there is a member here that makes a new 5th gear for them, not really needed in your case but the benefit for you would be the addition of needle bearings on 2nd and 5th gear...

blue tape worked great for me.

its just a deuce thing. if you want more speed with a 5 ton do tires or a 939 transfer case.

yup, USMC trucks only. I took the kit off an old usmc truck and put it on mine. USMC trucks also have lockers in the rears.
