I drove back from the Medal of Honor Weekend in Gainesville, Texas, last month with them on.
Unless you have been on rural I-35 you cannot imagine the need for warning lights on a vehicle traveling 54/55 mph.:roll:

I found the light mounting on the base plate the most confusing. The plastic spacer under the light base gives room for the curled wire connection.

I like the idea and it looks like a solution to many problems. The standard alternator looks to me to be kind of archaic. Great idea. When mine fail, you will be the first stop.
OK, the TM said to remove the 'air filter element' which is kind of confusing to me. But, then, many things are confusing to me.
But, I took off the mount and now it seems as good a time as any to get rid of the Oklahoma dust under the hood and paint the air cleaner mount and box.
It will be interesting to see how they work out. Bjorn may well be right in suggesting a by-pass with this 5 micron filter. I would hate to lose filtering for a period of time!
But, we shall see.
I hope to begin shipping next week. That will depend on the rain stopping. I do not have covered transport from the shop and if it keeps raining that will delay bringing them to the shipper.
Any time is good for the spin conversions, but the entire base will have to be replaced no matter. The spin on conversion would need a good base to fit and not leak.
Steve, I think the bases are made of zinc and will crack under too much torque. V V A 920 broke one some time back due to over torquing it, as I recall.
