I have some kind of horn wire tube obstruction on my M35. I pulled the old wire easily. There seems to be something stopping the passage of the new wire.
I have run extremely heavy rod from the top and from the bottom. It appears the obstruction is around 8 inches from the bottom.
Any ideas?
OK, I thought I was going insane. Intermittent flash and turn signals on the new deuce. So, I go to working on all the grounds. New internal/external star washers on the grounds for the marker lights, rear tail lights. Still no go. Ground on flasher cleaned and two internal/external star...
Great GL employee. Knowledgeable, friendly and very likable are his worst qualities. He is that good! If you have a pick up at RRAD, ask for him. Great guy.
I am having a similar problem. I am going to make certain the front marker lights are grounded to the fender. I will remove the guards, clean any rust or paint from the guard and around the mounting holes to ensure a good ground. I am going back on the flasher ground tomorrow.
I found it was far easier to use the newer version with the pigtail. Too many parts for my eyes. But, it is in the TM 9 2320-209-20P, figure 81.
Good luck.
I made reference to that page on several occasions.
The hardest for me was the wiring of the connectors due to the poor condition of the wires. I remedied that fairly quickly.
Using the male/female 90 degree bend made the work much easier, also.
I now have brake lights! No flasher or turn...
The change over is easier if the 90 degree bend is done with a male/female bend rather than the one provided in the kit. This is a fairly simple conversion.
Push the turn signal to the right turn position. Pull the serrated lever out and push the turn signal lever up another click at the same time to the hazard position.

Working on the new M35a2.
I have power to the turn signal and to the flasher. It worked a couple of days ago, along with the turn signals and flasher. My brake light switch was stuck in the on position and the pig tail to the trailer socket was cut in half.
I fixed the pig tail, properly...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Bad Brake Light Switch?
When the mode was changed the brake lights were on. Either way, regular brake lights or BO lights. But, you had to switch from one to the other. Switching to the BO brake serv caused the brake light BO to come on. Back to the regular serv, the...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Bad Brake Light Switch?
OK, bad brake light switch. I can order one tomorrow.
I meant to say above that I changed out the turn signal switch, not the brake light switch.
I will finish the rewiring of the trailer pig tail tomorrow. 105 here now, so I think it will be well...
Re: RE: Bad Brake Light Switch?
New deuce. Other working fine.
Plenty brakes on the new one. Just screwy lights. The pig tail to the trailer plug was severed and I am reattaching it one wire at time. Takes a bit to figure out which wire is which but it is fun and relaxing. :)
Brake lights are always on. Both the BO brake lights and regular brake lights.
I think the switch must be stuck. I will check to make sure it is not on the wrong side also.
