The coolant filter kit is an easy task. Be cautious to mount it to the body below the level of the top tank and with enough room to remove it when the time comes. There is a brace for the radiator that must be taken into account for servicing, although that is supposed to be at 50,000 miles...
Just curious, who is builder 77 for the oil filter kit? I got the price on the kit from John Tennis. Looks like a really great job, but cost is a bit high. How much cheaper are the spin on filters compared to the stock military ones from napa? It could take a long time to pay off the conversion...
I was hauling a cannon one evening in central Texas when the locals stopped me for having no light on the license plate. They spent 15 minutes getting the cannon lecture, showed me a short cut to my destination and told me to get a light one of these days.

I used the jatonka kit on my deuce. It works extremely well and took the same amount of time to put in as changing the original filters. I am very pleased with it.
odiron makes good products, certainly, but they seem a bit more labor intensive. Not a lot, mind you, just a little more work...
Take the time now to replace the filter set up with one of the spin on adapters now. The cost, initially, is a bit steep, in the area of $200 but the ease of replacing the filters makes it worthwhile.
Mine work extremely well and the oil pressure comes up immediately and not in 10 to fifteen...

The drag link is a 30 minute repair if you have a parts cleaner. I have my son. It took a little longer.

The alignment may be the problem. The wedges put in required loosening the u-bolts. It would appear they were not torqued properly. Now, I am getting new lock washers and a morning putting them on will most likely solve the problem.
I put the $38 drag link kit from Memphis on the deuce today.
The old sockets were so worn the lube grooves had disappeared.
I am not sure it made a big difference in wheel wobble problems but with the steering gear rebuilt and the new tie rod ends, the steering will be virtually new. :)
I came across a rather unusual circumstance, I think.
The deuce wobbled after hitting bumps. I rebuilt the steering gear, it needed it. I then rebuilt the drag link, it needed it worse. The sockets were so worn the lubrication grooves were worn off. For $38 bucks from Memphis, the job is...
The secret is patience. All you have to do is flush, fill, flush, fill etc. till you are certain the old stuff is gone.
