Guys, What the law says in other states is Not remotely relevant to the discussion. In this case the NC laws are what control. It doesn't matter if an antique truck is or is NOT allowed to be used for hauling goods. NC laws are only relevant.
First, I am pretty **** certain that the IFTA regs...
Seems like the M37 is just about the right size that you could make a towbar that is rigid and suspends the front end. I'm thinking a long a-frame that's chained to the underside in 4 spots and which you have to use a jack to lift the front end to hook up. But otherwise it'd be about the right...
I'd argue that if you could obtain a Boxcar of the appropriate size/opening, you could easily move what you want for cheap. Loading/Unloading points would tough though. In my case, I COULD use the Rail Road Museum for loading and shunting easily enough. The destination in PA would be the hard...

I think I'll try to make a tool compartment like...

Given the way the valve sits, I had to make sure I had enough hose for...
Actually I have Less foaming issues when pumping on a high speed pump into an open tank. If I am filling out of jerry cans, sure, I want the sleeve riser/strainer but normally at good stations I don't worry too much about that.
One COULD modify the tank and move the filler if you really wanted...
