And of course the M809 series trucks with the turbo conversions have the air cleaner moved to the right side fender so its a short run to the turbo and then the air charge tube runs over to the driver's side.
Make sure you're downloading the 'linked file' and NOT the image that's the thumbnail above. Try right clicking on the image above and selecting "save target as".
VSD is visio. I don't expect it to render the file, but we'd be able to post a cad file to the site or to a thread and someone could download it. I know Gerhard and Bjorn and a few others would definitely be able to send and receive these.
I would presume that it's a matter of setting the site...
a bit more thought out...still not really to scale though.
Oh, key detail, the centerline and cable position is SLIGHTLY off so as to bias the sheave to swivel to the 'low' point when pulling at anything but right off center.
I suppose you could add a couple of rollers to this along the...
Ok, I just had an inspiration. You'll have to do some welding but I think this could work.
YOu'll need a scrapped deuce axle tube and wheel hub. Oh and a Snatchblock. Plus a bunch of thick metal.
The wheel hub becomes your base. The axle tube is your pivoting center for the sheave to mount...
It's an unusual application. You might have to go with a custom fabrication. Start with a winch snatchblock for the sheave/pulley. Build your side plates and then start trying to figure out how to mount the swiveling part. Perhaps a tubular section mounted to another tube with a flange (sort of...
The problem is that you want to pull at 90 degrees from the rear right? If you do that, with those fairlead rollers acting as the pulleys, you're going to very quickly ruin your winch cable. Based on the size of our cables, we need about a 6" sheave for anything but basic guide rolling. a Sharp...
You really want a pulley that'll swivel with the angle of the pull though. With our winches a 6" sheave is desirable and a 6" diameter fairlead is going to be pretty darn chunky. And the Pulley block's mount will have to be able to handle the loads you expect to be redirecting, potentially up to...
You want to be able to drag/tow logs off the back of the truck with the fairleads taking more of the weight right?
Have you looked at how some of the British Artillery Tractors did this? They'd have a mid ship winch under the bed and the drum would be vertical. It would feed forwards OR to the...
Not so. IT says "vehicles used for personal use such as recreational vehicles"
"such as" is an example. Moreover, a recreational vehicle used for a business would NOT be exempt.
If you added a surge tank would it do any good? The cap is designed to relieve pressure at a certain point. Once that excess pressure is gone, you'd never suck the fluid back into the tank because the cap would be under pressure again and not allow a reverse flow into the radiator.
It would...
Nother data point:
GS_20-37.16
§ 20‑37.16. Content of license; classifications and endorsements; fees.
(e) The requirements for a commercial drivers license do not apply to vehicles used for personal use such as recreational vehicles.
So Recreational vehicles are non commercial motor...
Which office? Did you explain your use/purpose of the vehicle? see 40-2-77. Ga law specifically allows up to 14,000 lbs vehicle weight. It does not use GVW as the term. So, a deuce qualifies.
There is no prohibition on miles, use, or cargo hauled. Unless you use it for a commercial purpose and...
An administrative fine? How the heck do they do that? File an appeal definitely. I am firmly convinced the cop is wrong. When was reserearching this a few years ago, the NC Drivers manual showed trucks that were exempt. The line drawings showed a 5 ton, with the 'cargo' being a box with "Your...
Another data point:
The NC CDL manual, the PDF version I found online at

States in section 1.8: Exemptions and Waivers
That's the manual. Now, to find the statute controlling...
Mind you I am NOT...
