    Motor can size

    We watered cattle with one.

Bumperette removal. Do they still serve a purpose?

There was a reinforcement kit (I believe for the M35A3) which added a bracket between the frame and rear crossmember.

    Fuel line

Another reason to use poly instead of copper is that bio diesel corrodes copper.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

If any of your wives push back because of the cost tell them that a vacuum oven will speed up drying the kids' mittens and boots.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

I have one at work because I need to dry desiccant. Look on the used market for deals.

Transfer Case Shift Rod Seal Leak

I am pretty sure that I used two shaft seals; one after another. The second seal stick out slightly but still helps.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

I've had good luck using a vacuum oven to dry out dessicant (assuming the only contaminant is water).

    White D5000 musings

The guides for the D5000 are cast iron.

    White D5000 musings

There was a production change to an undercut valve guide but it also appears to have been a kit to fit the earlier engines. Unfortunately, I don't have any part numbers. An ag dealer may be able to help you.

    White D5000 musings

I live two hours from my truck so, instead of actually working on my truck, about all I can do is accumulate parts or do research. I picked up a copy of the 1981 engine technical manual for the White D5000 which is the engine used in the 2-155 farm tractors (among other industrial...

Pulsetech solar panel install location on Deuce

You could get a different solar charge controller and use the existing panels.

    Busted block

I have the other kind, assumed it was a bolt-in.

    Busted block

Excluding the gasser front crossmmember which has to be cut out to install the multi, aren't both of the multi crossmembers removable?

    Busted block

Is it possible to pull the engine without first removing the front crossmmeber? I assumed that it had to go but am curious if it is possible.

    Cummins filtration filters

I believe that this is how some of the Hunter diesel space heaters work; electric vaporizer. You could research the vapor pressure of each to get an idea of the difference but it seems like a sketchy plan unless you have the correct infrastructure.

    Cummins filtration filters

Knipco et al. heaters burn a mist/vapor of kerosene. Seems like it could end badly.

    Cummins filtration filters

How, if at all, does the weather affect the emulsion?

    Changing D to a C TURBO

I trust the folks who designed and built these turbos far more than anecdotal suggestions from the internet. The manual (Schwitzer 4 series published in 1980) does not indicate that a re-balancing after a rebuild is required. Based on what I have been able to research, the individual...

    Changing D to a C TURBO

I have read and reread the rebuild manuals for the Schwitzer turbos and I can't find anything suggesting even re-assembling the compressor clocked to the turbine in the original position. The rebuild manuals do not indicate that re-balancing is needed. They are balanced sufficiently as...
