I put a 4LE-354 wastegate turbo on my LDT; it is easily do-able. It ended up that the turbo was no good. However, after doing a little investigating, it probably wouldn't have done much anyway as Ken on SS says that they have the same ultimate boost anyway.
The wastegate turbo uses a...
You don't HAVE to splice the harnesses together. The stock/ original wire fite pretty tight into the parker pump. It may be fine as-is. I used the stock fuse.
What is the normal life of these pumps? (ie. how many for a lifetime supply)
I used copper lines and flare fittings. I did not use the oem rubber airline between the transfer case and the hard line; seemed pointless as the transfer case doesn't move much and there is plenty movement in the hard line.
Maybe perfectly fine for you:mrgreen:...
If stuck with a carb, I want the best one I can get.
Even if I were to rebuilt the original, there are DESIGN differences that you are not considering. For example, the economaster carbs have a number of improvements developed in search of better...

My 1947 chevy pickup had the huck non-servo brakes and my 1948 was converted to the bendix servo brakes and I really couldn't tell a difference. Might be a lot of work to find out the same on an M35.
I was quoted $1200. But I may have misunderstood; the salesman was very hard to understand. The cost and difficulty of working with Garrison led me to the HF54.
With two systems already outlined in GREAT detail on SS (HF54 and the Saginaw), I really can't understand why there is still...
