    Dented oil pan

The oil pickup is right above the drain plug so there probably isn't enough room for this method. But, it sounds like most pans are soft enough to bend back to shape.

    Dented oil pan

I've got a spare running engine which was dropped on the pan pushing the drain plug upward. What are the odds that I can remove the pan and push out the dent from the inside without cracking the pan or bung weld?

M35a2-3 Fuel Pump, Deal or no deal..?

You can adapt the electical connector from the $50 pump to your old wire. Transfer the metal ring around rubber damper from the old pump to the new and it drops right in.

What is this thing and how do I stop it from leaking?

If you look closely at the mil documentation, that hexagonal version is used on the OLD multifuels with the solenoid valves. I got the correct one from White Owl and it does not leak.

Fuel leak, over top of turbo, what is it?

The one that I got from White Owl is a good one.

Comments: Given that you have the civilian distributor, you can easily convert to Pertronix electronic ignition.

    ignition coil blew up today...

With few exception, there is no such thing as a 6, 12, or 24V coil. When GM went from 6 to 12V, they just addded a ballast resistor to keep the current within limits. I have measured numerous reo and gmc coils and each measured identical to every old old 6 or 12V coil that I could find. The...

Correct Deuce Air Filter - Donaldson P11-7551 doesn't exist?

If air flow with the smaller filter is really a problem, it should trip the air filter indicator. If it does not, the air filter is fine.

    Rod knock

4000 hours is still respectable for a tractor of that era using oils of that era.

    Rod knock

8000 hours is about double what has been reported on the internet: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/73830-oliver-2150-multifuel-4.html but most of the trouble in the tractors seems to be related to leaking fuel injectors. The multifuel has a 22:1 compression ratio whereas the tractor is...

    Drag Race Tranny

This would assume zero wheel slip and no clutch slippage. Doesn't the clutch slip and gradually lock up?

FDC bypassed and crankcase still floods with fuel

I bought a new one from White Owl; problem fixed.

lds wastegate turbo on an M35

I talked to the folks at a regional turbo repair shop. They brought up a few points: -This is a very old design (384 were built in 1969). -While rebuild kits for a basic 4LE are available, housings and turbines are no longer supported by Borg Warner. -Very few turbos had wastegates during...
