LDS VS LDT and the real differences

That "bigger" turbo uses a nozzle ring to spool up what is otherwise too big of a turbo for this engine. The D is supposedly capable of the same boost.

    Sprag Transfer Case

It will prevent the driveline windup. I agree you'd be money ahead to get the air shift xfercase, though.

    Sprag Transfer Case

What is the problerm with this? Someone posted here recently that they installed lockouts with a sprag xfercase and it worked fine.

The sprag transfer case works in all gears.

    Oil pressure question

If I tap hard on the guage, it toggles between two positions. Could be your guage or sender.

Not going to work if you want use it withe the common implement PTO speeds

    Rear output PTO?

Tractor PTOs spin the opposite direction of the transfer case PTO. That and the fact that the deuce PTO is not live limits their usefulness.

Best/ easiest method to add turnsignals to old deuce

I have a '53 Studebaker M35 and would like to add turnsignals. I have the obvious components: switch, flasher, and the modern tail lights but it appears that the main harness is different on the gas truck. What do you recommend as easiest/ best?

    302 gmc manifold problem

$206 shipped. I didn't know that modifications were required when I bought it but it is still worth it to have a NEW one.

    302 gmc manifold problem

Got it installed and running. It takes a few modifications. 1) I had to elongate the holes in the exhaust manifold and in the intake manifold to allow the intake to move further inward towards the head. I used allen head bolts in place of the exhaust manifold studs due to lack of room to get...

Replacing my starter with a gear reduction style

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. See attached brochures for the 39mt starter series.

    Off Grid

What model charge controller are you using? I've never heard of one that requires a dump load for PV.

    302 gmc manifold problem

It can't have been cut that much; there'd be nothing left of the intake flanges. If you move the intake such that it is flush with the exhaust, the spot faced areas between the outer exhaust/intake ports line up perfectly. Looks to me like a bad copy or there are differences between the civvy...

    302 gmc manifold problem

I bought a new 302 gmc exhaust manifold from an online retailer to replace the dual exhaust on my 47 chevy pickup. Driveability is terrible without manifold heat. I mate the new exhaust and my old intake and the intake manifold is about an eighth of an inch back from the exhaust. I was told...

    Another HF54 conversion

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way and you most certainly won't steer the vehicle left or right simply by pulling the column up or down. The truck from which I pulled the steering parts used a simple slip joint; nothing special. Whether the linear movement of the steering shaft is taken up...

    Another HF54 conversion

While I have a slip joint in my system, there is enough slop in the gamma goat column that this really isn't required.

    Another HF54 conversion

It took me about a year to finally get the right power steering reservoir with built-in filter and mount it permanently to the firewall.
