    Old jenny for sale

A fellow down the road brought this by the other day because he saw all the military vehicles in the yard and assumed I knew something about working on them. He wanted to use it to power a small travel trailer but after trouble shooting it I determined that it needs a lot more work than I can do...

    Doomed multi-fuel engines

It seems that I am over supplied with good running multi-fuel engines. One is complete (to include radiator) and in a section of frame. It has a set of axles under it. I'll take 600.00 for it. One has had the starter, alternator, turbo and fuel pump removed. 200.00 bucks One is still in the...

    Veggie/diesel mix

Sorry if this has been discussed before and I missed it but I just got a good buy on an 87 Ford Ranger diesel. The owner said he had been running veggie/diesel mixture. Anybody else do this? What is a good mixture? I'm in AL so low temp is not a problem right now. Thanks for any help.

    Wreckerman's mission complete

I just got back from picking up the command trailer at Eglin AFB, FL. I left Decatur, AL, Wednesday about 13:30 and made it to Brewton, AL, around 8:30. For some reason the M52 would only top out about 45 MPH so the going was slow. I overnighted at Brewton and arrived at Eglin around 09:30. I...

    MKT pickup

Yesterday I made it up to Knoxville, TN to pick up my Mobile Kitchen Trailer. It was located at the Tenn Air National Guard base south of town. I arrived about 10 am and the Guard guys had it sitting outside the Motor Pool gate ready for me to hook to. :) I was using my son's Ford F150 4WD to...

    Parts is parts.....part 2

Well the second junk yard deuce I found a few weeks ago is going under the axe. My plan is to remove the cab and use the frame/engine/running gear for one of my harebrained schemes. I will sell the cab tub, to include doors, windshields w/frame, hard top, gauge cluster, heater, and seats (two...

Stainless steel coils for WVO or ethanol production

I got these stainless steel coils off GL last week and in my mind they would make great heat exchangers to put in a auxillary tank WVO system. They could also be used as a worm on a still..........err as part of an ethanol producing device. They are approx 1 inch in diameter with a...

    Wreckerman's rolling mess hall

For those of you who haven't heard I won a Mobile Kitchen Trailer (MKT) off GL this week. Plans for this unique trailer include setting up a field mess at rallys to feed the faithful. Look for the daily special, "Wreck's ranch raised possum stew".

    Parts is parts

The parts deuce has been rendered down to it's basic components and I want to move them as soon as possible. The engine, tranny and radiator are still in the frame and the axles are still attached. It could be towed if anyone wanted the frame and all. The engine runs good and has a whistler...

    Korean era mine detector

Someone has a complete (in the box with manuals) Korean war era mine detector for sale in the local trader publication. I don't have any use for it but if someone is seriously interested I'll check it out. They are asking $300.00 OBO. I might lowball them and flip it to put some cash in the 5...

    Parting out a deuce

I am considering parting out one of the deuces I brought back from Arkansas. The other three need some odds and ends and I already gave FreightTrain a side window from one of them. There is a guy near me that wants a set of axles for a Monster Trucks so I may have some stuff sold already...

Picking up dueces in Littlerock need front haul out

If I don’t sell all of the Arkansas trucks in place I plan to have a step-deck flatbed at the GL site in Littlerock next Friday morning. Depending on which company I use, the truck will be leaving Northeast Alabama and going to Littlerock via Memphis. If you have anything near the take off point...

    Bolster trailer recovery

Wednesday was the day I had arranged to pick up the bolster trailer I had won from GL a few weeks ago. The adventure started Tuesday night. After spending the better part of the day at the VA hospital I was too keyed up to sleep so I left for Livina, Tenn. about 11 PM. The deuce performed...

    Wreckerman needs a dropdeck

Me and Freighttrain are going to Ark soon to get 5 dueces. Since I now have a 5 ton tractor I was wondering if anybody near me has a "Airforce Dropdeck trailer" (M27 I think was the number) I could borrow to haul a couple of them back with. Any help greatly appreciated.

Bad fuel choice.......I've buggered meself now

In my never ending quest for cheap fuel alternatives I bought 55 gallons of recycled solvent (thought it was mineral spirits) Friday for $2.41 a gallon. Turns out it was laquer thinner but I was commited by then (and prob should be commited now) so I put about 20 gallons in the duece and added a...
